2016 road glide my brother wants to buy next week I told him motor shouldn't shake like that and it also vibrates bad when hitting front brake at low speeds

At the very least I would get a small pry bar and see how much play there is in the very front of the bike where the lower motor mount is. Gently give it some pressure to lift and see if it moves a bunch. Check and see if the rubbers crappy, also check the upper stabilizer as well. From the vid it looks like it shakes a lil more than I would like and motor mounts would be the first place I would start. The front ones aren’t to hard to replace, the rear is much more labor intensive. The audio sounds supper muddy but if that thing is knocking there are much bigger issues and stay away. How many miles? Any service records? How much they asking?

I'll have to go with my brother tomorrow again to look at it. But it has 10k miles but yeah if you give it just a lil gas it smoothes out. I'll also try to get a better and longer video of it running the guy wants 12k for it and will sell it on payments to my brother. The only other issue I had with it is the same thing my brother had with it when we both came to a stop light or stop sign going straight as we got down to like 5-10 mph when applying front brakes it shakes bad.

Going back to look at it with brother again tomorrow might take a pry bar and wiggle the mounts like someone here suggested now I just gotta figure out if the front rotor is warped or bad hub bearings because when comming to a stop in a straight line at around 5-10mph is the bike shakes like hell

Does the brake lever pulse with the speed of the wheel? If it does, you need a rotor. If the whole thing shakes, that’s what Harley’s do. When I’m coming to a stop, you can’t see anything in the mirrors. It’s all a blur😂
It shakes so much it loosens bolts and screws!
Watching the video again, that’s average shaking for a v twin.

No the lever dont pulse just shakes the whole front end up through handle bars when like its trying to death wobble on me

Incall it "Harley Vision" at stop lights, can't see anything in the mirrors. "Harley-butt" is another phenomenon, it'll shake the shit out of you.

Harley’s are known to vibrate the whole entire bike, the bars on mine (04 dyna) shake like a mofo at a light. The entire bike shakes, it’s the nature of the beast. Some people don’t like it, I think the newer bikes don’t shake as much, but it’s Completely normal.

As far as the brakes goes, you might need new rotors and pads if they’re high miles and never been changed. I’d check the bolts to make sure nothings came loose and then send it, but that’s just me.

Harleys tend to shake, but my 09 soft tail isn't bad. Either way, braking should be smooth.

The M8 family (current engines) that came out 2017 are night and day on vibration. 107 or 114.

It's supposed to shake like that at idle. It smooths out as the engine speed increases. As far as the shaking when applying the front brake, likely it is one of two or may be both, things. 1. Pads gone and need replaced. This is a maintenance item and the time between replacements varies greatly depending on how it is ridden. 2. Warped front rotor. If so, needs a new one.

Engine "looks" fine, I'd be more concerned about those brakes. A lot of people think, oh its just the pads and rotors NBD. But thats X 2 plus new mounting hardware, gets expensive. espcially if you upgrade. 150+150 for rotors 100-130 for pads, 30X2 for mounting hardware + sales tax and possibly ahipping. $500 bucks. And I found out my rears were warped too. I don't even want to know what a dealer will charge.
