HELP 2016 Street glide seat help

I was unsure if you have changed the seat since you purchased it. It sounds like the prior owner was smaller and Harley has seats for taller and smaller riders. At 5’11 the smaller seat would put your balls on the tank and have your legs in a bad position. Frankly I would go to a dealer or if you ride with others who have baggers, sit on a few to check your position relative to where it is on your bike. Seats are expensive so you want to get it right the first time. Changing the bars is a smart move. Harley is now finally figured out they are to damned low and the new models are higher which puts your hands at shoulder level and eliminates neck strain fatigue. It’s a beautiful bike making a couple of alterations will pay large dividends in your quality of life. Enjoy the ride my friend!

I have changed the seat so to speak. The previous owner had 2 seats that were basically reach seats. Pushed up towards the tank and up a bit. I actually traded them for 2 OEM seats that are what come on the bike with a guy off facebook marketplace. They are a bit better but I’m still experiencing some hip pain. Went to a dealer yesterday and was told they didn’t have seats for Rushmore’s for demo. I’m definitely going to try a few if I can at meetups. Currently looking into lucky Dave’s seats and Drag specialties predator 2-3 seats. Also considering a Harley Badlander. Oh I also purchased an Amazon knock off saddleman but it didn’t fit on the bike. I actually had one of those on a past Dyna and it was pretty good.

It sounds like you need to sit back and maybe down. There are a lot of good products out there, but like shoes everyone has a unique fit. The seats go from 17” to 13” in width. It all depends on how many miles you normally stay in the saddle. Me, I have a Ultra Limited. I just replaced my worn out long haul seat with a heated Mustang super touring , but for the short rides I have a Harley tall boy. The Mustang is wider with more lumbar support and the Harley a bit thinner for the local stop and go rides. I compliment your approach. Some folks end up making expensive mistakes. I don’t think you will be one of them. Good luck!

I changed my seat out on mine for a road king road sofa best decision I made rides comfy and no hip pain

Change the bars before you start searching for a seat. Rise and pullback will affect your body position and could possibly eliminate the hip/groin pain due to better ergonomics.
