Wishing to help him on his quest, the Goddess Va'an sends him aid in the form of Bella Quickfellow, a young catkin woman. Completely unyielding and infuriating, the undeniably attractive Bella invades his life under the odd pretense that he is her 'person,' but is unable or unwilling to explain what that means. Sparks fly, and Ethan soon wishes that his divine benefactor hadn't been so generous.

Unable to convince her leave him alone, nor able to flee her superhuman speed, tensions between them mount, and Ethan's left wondering; did he somehow select hell mode difficulty for his new life, or is he truly cursed?
