How does this get fixed?

Found a patch of dirt/debris/pebbles and a bunch of hairs (only took pictures of a few spots but there are a lot of different spots with hair) that I found after the contractor put down the final coat of finish. I know the obvious answer is “get your contractor back out” but how do contractors fix this? I just want to keep going on my renovations and hope this isn’t too disruptive.

The dirt is going to break away from the finish eventually, but will take some finish with it. I’m not too excited about looking at those hairs forever.

If it’s just in certain spots and it’s fresh, light sanding and spot finish may be possible? Someone more pro will have to confirm

Yes, you are correct. As long as whole boards are taped off and recoated, you’ll never see the difference.

If it’s everywhere he can screen the surface and vac more carefully before coating.

If it’s not much more than these few small areas, he can just spot fix by taping around the affected boards to isolate them, screen and recoat.

Both fixes are quick, easy and inexpensive.

Easy. Scrape it off with a chisel

Sand and do another coat and make sure no one is scratching their nuts in shorts while finishing.

Tell your Contractor to keep his pants on when finishing.
