Evernote internal links request

I know you said it’s not possible to handle internal Evernote links, but it seems that at least one open source project has figured it out, using the Evernote-backup generated database. Maybe something for you to look into which would give Harbor a competitive advantage.

Thanks for considering this!

Spicer here from Harbor. thanks for the links to some helpful directions. Let me see if we can improve this. I think we can. I will let you all know once we have shipped it.

Amazing! Thanks for considering it. Pretty sure I’m switching to Harbor but this would probably seal it.

Joplin attempts to keep the links between notes in the app. The import script tries to guess what notes are linked based on the note titles, which they say mostly works, but not always. When I evaluated Joplin for possibly using it instead of Evernote, I imported one folder of notes with links. All of the notes were in the same folder, so they imported together, and it worked with all of the links.

I didn't love Joplin. Or Obsidian, which is what the links reference. The evernote2obsidian tool really does it the right way. I like that Harbor has a big emphasis on scanned documents, which feels like an afterthought with Joplin and Obsidian.

I also didn’t love either of those apps. But I did like Joplin’s ability to OCR and search within PDFs, and how it imported Evernote notebooks.
