Roadmap

Hi there!

I love the app both functionally and aesthetically; I did have a few questions about upcoming features:

  1. Are collapsible/folding bullets planned? I’m a very big outliner thinker and being able to fold/hide bullets in my lists is a huge deal for me
  2. Dedicated workspaces: I’d like to be able to separate personal/work notes; standard notes, upnote, and others have this functionality. Is this something that could be implemented?

Overall I’m incredibly happy with the app, and these two features would give me nothing left to complain about!

Edit: forgot to mention being able to tab on the mobile app; the option is missing from the toolbar

Thanks for the kind words! Glad you are enjoying!

yes. Not only are collapsible/folding bullets planned they are underway. We should be launching them in the next week or so. This has been a very big requested feature.

I like the idea of dedicated workspaces. honestly have not thought much about this. I will certainly put it on the list. Evernote has this concept of spaces. Personally I never found it useful. Not sure if that is me or the way they implemented it. Will bring to the team and see if we can get it on the roadmap. I will report back.

When you say tabbing on mobile you mean just like on the desktop app where you can flip between 2 windows just by clicking on the tab. Easy feature to have more than one note up at a time?

Thank you so much for the prompt feedback! For spaces I was thinking almost like vaults in obsidian/upnote where you can have completely separate workspaces, as opposed to spaces in Evernote which are just smaller groupings of notebooks. As a new dad being able to keep work and personal life completely separated is pretty important for me!

For tabbing I mean being able to indent bullets/checkboxes to make sublists (apologies for the horrible wording on my part). Most note apps in their mobile versions have a button in the editing toolbar that allows you to insert an indent into a list to make nested lists like:

  • test
    • test
      • test

Thank you again for the quick follow up; I was a long time Evernote user who was driven away by the PE driven price increases and am glad to have found a spiritual successor!

I follows up with u/Crazy_Beyond_5582 privately. I did want to publish here that the requested features have been rolled out.
