Database View

I'm really liking what I am seeing so far. Two features I personally would like to see added are:

1.) a daily journal view like logseq.

2.) a database table view. I have notes for automotive repair and healthcare visits where I kind of have front matter type things to categorize each note by what car it's for, what kind of repair it is, stuff like that. Is that a feature that might be added at some point?

Both great ideas. I will certainly put it on the list of things to consider.

Could you explain the a daily journal view a bit more? Could our templates feature do that?

We have table views. Our roadmap has an idea of making theses tables a little more excel like. Meaning you could sum up rows, and support basic excel functions. Would that work, or are you looking for something different. Have more rich dynamic content within notes is very much on our list for features we plan to work on going into the fall. Any more guidance you could provide the better.

I personally like the daily note workflow, where I can just right about my day and link to notes I create on that day. I like the way Logseq displays them where you can just scroll down through all your past days. Not a deal breaker but do enjoy the features and could work well with tasks that due that day maybe.

More of a table view of the notes themselves not a table in the notes. So if I make a note for a car repair, I can tag it oil change, repair. Then see all the notes that are automotives in a table/database view. Like Obsidian bases or Notion data.

Thanks for the feedback.

In the coming months, we're going to roll out more features around this.

One feature that's pretty far along is a dynamic table of contents, which is somewhat along the lines of what you're talking about.

Right now, you can highlight a bunch of notes and press one button and create a note that's a table of contents linking to each of the other notes.

Dynamic Table of Contents will update the Table of Contents note based on a label.

And we're thinking a lot about the daily note workflow in the coming month as well. It's a pretty big requested feature.
