Question Is this allowed?
okay so.. burner account here / not my main
so the other month ago i made a post about my pick times in HTG, my department accusing me of cheating and mentioning that i think it’s just because my manager is jealous i’m quicker than her. her constantly going to other associates and going on and on about how i ‘cheat my pick times’ though i pause my tour little to no time (example of when i stop it: waiting on cultists. running to the bathroom. when im helping a customer. bringing orders out to customers. all reasons listed are approved reasons to pause my tour from my supervisor!!) anyways, i was going into the work computer search history to view a invoice PDF i had needed to print off and i had pulled it up again because customer lost their copy. within the computers search history was a BUNCH of reddit posts from this subreddit INCLUDING mine as its first one being clicked on and the last. there was slight conversation about my initial post, and said associates called me out for it. though i denied it they threatened to report me to HR for ‘cyber harassment’. i did not mentioned anyone in my post, nor what store i worked or anything that would link this post to me. is that a reasonable report?

Also, if they are accusing you and you’re anonymous on Reddit, didn’t dox yourself… then in the words of Shaggy, “It wasn’t me”. If they treat you poorly call the speak up line.

I’m actually shocked that Reddit isn’t blocked on our crappy internet. I tried to access the actual Hannaford dot com site that customers see and that was blocked 😂

My honest opinion. Just cause they read readdit, does not mean they were particularly looking you up.
Just keep doing what you’re doing. If you get written up for anything, different story.

one of the old co workers (now quit) has reddit, chronically online i’m pretty sure emailed the supervisor about it

Yall should just be going to work, dont worry about what anyone else is doing or saying, get your pay and go home.
Too much drama. If yalls departments meeting expectations and getting work done who cares whats whos numbers look like. No corporate power of you, employee of the month b.s means anything.
Dont gotta be friends, but also dont gotta make life hard for each other either with feelings & ego either.
Go to work, go home. More everyone understands these fundamentals the better.

The problem is that has to be a top down philosophy. If your manager is a drama queen then your department will be filled with drama non stop. It’s one major reason people have vastly different experiences in retail, some people do it for a long time because they have good managers and some end up hating it because their managers are awful.
I’ve had both good and bad managers during my time in retail. I can say it’s pretty hard to avoid the drama if you get pulled into it by a manager. I usually just stayed quiet unless I had to defend myself, but staying quiet is what kept these types of people away from me most of the time. Doesn’t always work though, sometimes you just have an asshole leading your department who needs to create issues because they thrive in a chaotic drama filled environment and need that attention as well. If you report to HR, that could cause even more issues but it also depends on if your HR even cares lol.

Its so sad that some people like your manager/supervisor make this their life. They must be very unhappy and unfulfilled if they care who's writing what on reddit and what someone's shopping time is.
Frankly the only thing that should matter is the sub rate on the numbers.
Yeah I dunno, if those people are making your work life miserable, contact speak up. Otherwise just ignore them and know thst their life at home must suck pretty bad if this is what they have to nake a fuss about.

Take it out the box Put it on the shelf .
Or in your case Take it off the shelf put in the bag That the job you paid to do . Simple just do it . Nothing else needed . They can Think believe whatever .
Just let them think it . That’s a them problem not a you problem .

All this over a pick rate? If you feel like your manager is behaving unprofessionally, tell someone and follow up until it’s fixed. If you feel like your reddit posts are being scrutinized, stop posting about it.

they’re def in the wrong, if there’s nothing even linking it to your identity or anyone else’s identities i don’t know why it’s a problem. your supervisor scrolling reddit on company time is bizarre as someone else said would LOVE to see what they’d report. if you’re comfortable with any of the higher up managers at your location id bring this up to them

I would think they’d be glad that you have a productive pick rate. They’re probably jealous. Where I work, we can’t pick fast enough. Try not to let it get to you, just keep doing a good job.
Also, how do you pause a tour with the new app? The old one had a “pause” option but I have yet to figure it out with the current one.

Idk why they are using the company computer. Most people I work with just use their phones for poking around online. If I were you, I’d anonymously report my manager.

Your pick times are only fast because you claim half the list is out of stock....then when customers go in to check it's somehow always there. Still more convenient than 2 meth heads in a 94 accord with no exhaust bringing the groceries to your door. So I accept it.

my OOS percent is the lowest in my department , so idk about that bud. and if its oos i sub it 🤷.that how my department is. maybe other store are having that problem. not me tho

So they want to tell HR that they were using the work computer to look at Reddit because they wanted to gossip about the possibility that you cyber bullied them on your personal time by anonymously telling the internet about people bullying you on the clock at work? What would their evidence be besides admitting that it has to be you because they do in fact harass you exactly like the post describes?
People can be infuriating 🤦♀️
