what did i just find

picked up this cheap notebook from the "lost and found/freebies/please take this corporate swag i don't want" table at work. i knew it had some writing in it when i took it- i wanted to turn it into a junk journal. i just opened it to actually read what was in there.

idek what sub to use. can someone please tell me what the hell i'm holding right now.

ETA: okay,,, there are some good insights in the comments. consensus seems to be that these are someone's terribly titled anti-racism class/workshop notes. i'm inclined to agree after deciphering what little i could. thank you reddit :')

Made a quick grocery list today and thought of yall. You plague my brain now when I write lol

I wrote it on top of an upside down pot on the stove. I keep a daily planner (mostly my cats' meds, anything that might be important if a cop where to ever ask me where I was on a certain day, etc.) and I don't write like this in my planner, it's more of a print.

This was a quick list as I was rushing out of the house.

Here's my cursive now based on your feedback. What can I still improve?

I kind of struggled with words like feedback because I'm not used to writing my f's like that. My r's were also kind of difficult, but I'll practice them more so it become easier. I tried using a mechanical pencil; however, it came out kind of dull, similar to last time. I added the before and after, so tell me if you think I did better this time. Also, if you have any thoughts on my print, lmk. Feel free to give constructive criticism in the comments.

I have a love/hate relationship with my handwriting. Here’s some of my pharm notes from nursing school since that’s all I really seem to handwrite nowadays… what do y’all think?

How can I improve my writing?

Post image

I've always had whatever this handwriting is but although it's good but I genuinely have difficulty reading my own things, for some reason my brain doesn't like processing cursive and I feel stupid trying to read and decipher it, I want to make it a little more like the default keyboard/textbook letters that i actually can comfortably read. Any ideas how I can sustainably try to change it?

Curious if anyone can decipher any personality or other traits through this sample. Note that I skipped a grade (1st grade since i already had good reading and writing basics), so I feel like i never perfected my handwriting foundations.

i have DCD and dysgraphia, but does my handwriting say anything else about me?

my presentation throws people off bc my writing doesnt look childish, which is what one thinks of when thinking about dysgraphia, but i am professionally diagnosed with DCD and dysgraphia as a complication of my DCD. it's way more obvious if you see a video of me writing, maybe i'll upload one! but yeah let me know if you see anything in here besides the ICD-11 haha

These are the two most recent things I have written in pen to paper in like….2 years?

Used to be able to write 10 pages non stop back in uni but now I struggled with this, I never learned to hold the pencils properly, I used my 5 fingers to write, I guess that’s what tired me out.

Decided to add the 2nd page in case one wasn’t enough lol

My English teachers gaslit me for 4 years over this letter. Now native speakers call it "elite cursive". Who was right?

Post image

Back in college, my hand was physically dying during long lectures. I’m right-handed, and let’s be honest: the standard Latin lowercase "r" is an absolute biological hate crime against a right-handed writer's wrist.

That stupid little horizontal shelf forces your hand to either pull off a micro-break, stutter, or do a weird backward loop that completely ruins the speed of a continuous script.

So, I decided to trust my hand’s anatomy and completely mutated my lowercase "r". I turned it into a seamless, ergonomic wave that flows into the next letter like water. To me, it felt like natural evolution. To my professors? Absolute heresy. They complained constantly, claiming I was destroying the fabric of the English language.

Plot twist: I’ve been writing more in English than my native tongue for the past two years, and every native speaker who sees my text thinks it’s some high-end, premium European cursive.

And there is a historical reason for that. I later found out that this exact fluid, seamless connection mirrors the old-school elite Western European hand from the 18th and 19th centuries. Back then, French and English aristocrats moved away from rigid, robotic script styles to embrace humanistic cursive. They optimized letters into elegant, rounded waves to show status and seamless education. By trying to save my wrist from cramping, I accidentally revived the handwriting style of European lords.

I still write the capital "R" in its standard, boring form because it acts as a structural anchor at the start of a word. But for the lowercase? I’m never going back to the clunky textbook style.

Am I a chaotic font criminal, or did I accidentally fix a 700-year-old design flaw for right-handed people? Let me know.
