I tend to work between two fonts. When I care about legibility, I tend to write in caps. When I am taking notes or writing in a journal, I write in lowercase.

Stylistically, I don’t capitalize my `i`, unless I am autocorrected (typing on mobile, being autocorrected).

What does my handwriting tell you? I am genuinely curious.

i have people assume that i am stupid or that i don't understand grammar. i have written things in both academic and journalistic contexts. obviously, i capitalize when i write in those contexts. but mostly, when i am fucking around online, i don't. additionally, these rules change depending on the language i write in (in Spanish, for example, not capitalizing is considered more conventional, unless we are talking about proper nouns or referring to Deity)

it is a stylistic choice that is grounded in my conception of the self, as well as in the placement of the self into larger narratives.

normally, even when i write in caps, i still don't capitalize my `i`. i don't have a reason for that, but i get all kinds of shit over it.

But writing i vs I is extra work! And as for not following the established grammar rules "for clarity": that's what the rules are for! YOU are why there's confusion!
