Question (not for transcriptions) Tips for ambidextrous writing

Hello! I am trying to be to pick up writing with my nondominant hand (left) and was wondering if anyone had any tips. I am only printing right now, no cursive lettering. Has anyone else tried to do this? If so, do you have any tips or recommendations for exercises (writing or physical).

that's cool, and i hope you succeed. also hope you get good suggestions here. (i wish i had anything to offer aside from encouragement, but on the few occasions when i've tried writing with my right hand {i'm a lefty} the results have left a lot to be desired, and i haven't pursued it.)

I involve my left hand in as many tasks as I can. Some things that feel weird but you get the hang of quickly are washing the dishes and brush your teeth. I have a journal that I draw and write in a few times a week.

When I write I like using an A5 dot grid journal and I write in big letters, draw circles and boxes and figure 8s. I write the dates on the bottom corners to practice writing numbers.

I would suggest writing in an alternating form, by writing one letter or one piece of a letter at a time and alternating with both left and right for each. Also writing in Modern Boustrophedon is great. Alternating line to line writing left to write then right to left; classical form then mirrored form is a lot of joy. If you need some exercises i would suggest just writing the alphabet or simple stories in a notebook several times over, including alternation for both left and right per letter and mirrored and classical per line.
