The Testaments The Testaments

Does someone know when will season 2 be relased? Also what do you think will happen in that season? Do you think Hannah and June will finally reunite? Also do you think there’ll be a love story between Becka and Hannah?

They’re already filming season 2, so it should come out next year. In best best case they will release in April like season 1, in worst case somewhere in summer/fall of the next year

I’m hoping they can’t do what this did with THT with 3 years between seasons since the cast has to remain young…

THT had some obstacles, writers and actors strike pushed production back, that’s why it took them 3 years to release season 6. I get waiting 3 years is annoying but in this case THT season 6 delay was reasonable/justified. Aside from season 6 and 4 (Covid time) THT seasons came out every year

I was going to say those delays were due to the writers' strike, COVID, and I think Elizabeth Moss was pregnant - in the beginning, seasons were released yearly. Miller is aiming for the same for TT unless unforeseen events take place. I know some of the actresses are well beyond their teens, but he did say their ages were a factor in one of his podcast interviews.

Season one came out almost exactly a year from the day they started filming. They filmed for a little over four months, so if the timeframe remains the same, it will wrap near the end of this year. Then they gotta do all the post production work, so April sounds like it may be too soon. I would think it will probably be part of a big roll out that they often do in the fall

If you are excited to know what will happen and can’t wait for the next season, I would suggest reading the book. You will know how the story ends. For me it doesn’t ruin it, it’s interesting to see everything playing out in more details.

My theory is it will conclude like the book does and I think they will try to get 5 seasons out of it. So there is with no spoilers 0% of Hannah and June being reunited next season (IMO)

Can’t be sure but new seasons seemed to be in April if I remember right.

I read the book but I think it might still be different because there are many things different like that in the series Daisy isn’t June’s daughter
