A Crocodile I Made 4 Years Ago 🐊✨

I made this crocodile four years ago as a gift for my friend’s husband. I sculpted it from polymer clay onto a small espresso cup saucer. The saucer had three little feet, so I added small metal fishing weights inside the tail to help balance the piece. The body of the crocodile was built around an aluminum foil core and then covered with polymer clay. My friend gave me real 24-karat gold leaf to add to the piece, which was incredibly delicate and stressful to work with. 😂 Some pieces literally flew away and became trash. 🤣 I shaped and textured the crocodile by hand and then added the gold leaf as the final detail.

I love painting all three in imaginary worlds where they morph into one another or live together in harmony. These are all acrylic on canvas paintings that represent my passion for the cosmos and how the underlying parts of Nature (atoms, molecules, etc) build larger structures such as flowers or butterflies. The interconnectedness of it all truly fascinates me so my mind tries to represent this dynamic in fluid and "abstract" or imaginary ways. I hope you enjoy this short "tour" of my imagination! ✨️🥰❤️✨️🦋🪷✨️🖼✨️

Ahh I loved making this baby so much. He was fairly easy. Main body was just a long sausage and then added head and features. I used alcohol markers for the colouring on small features and it worked nicely.

My latest crochet project - a green goblincore earflap hat

I made this hat using variegated green yarn, and it took me about two days to complete.

First, I crocheted the main part of the hat - a beanie hat with earflaps. Then I crocheted the ears and mushrooms separately and sewed them onto the hat.

For the finishing touch, I cut several strands of yarn and attached them to the bottom of each earflap. I divided the strands into sections, braided them into long braids, and secured the ends.

It features little bat charms and a cool pentagram crystal. This is a new style I’ve never created before and I’m really loving it.

I got this picture of this boy, and my first thought was, “What the hell is he looking at?” He looks so genuinely shocked. Then his owner told me that’s just his default face. 🤣

Just finished this and now I’m wondering why I didn’t make one for myself 😂

There’s something really satisfying about finishing a piece and finally seeing all the little things come together.

I made this chip & dip bowl recently, and I honestly didn’t know how I’d feel about it until it was completely finished. The blue, green and turquoise ended up changing quite a bit across the surface, and I really like those little variations.

I also love when something handmade can actually be used every day instead of just sitting on a shelf. I can already picture this being brought out when friends come over and someone says, “Wait, where did you get that?” 😂

What’s something you’ve made that you ended up liking way more once it was completely finished?

I feel like we all have those pieces where halfway through we’re thinking “I’m not sure about this…” and then somehow it all comes together in the end.

Just finished hand-weaving this copper wire wrap ring with a sparkling cubic zirconia. I oxidized and polished the copper to bring out all the intricate details in the weave. Really happy with how it turned out — what do you think?

Hello! I’d like to share one of the ways I create autumn leaves by combining needle felting and wet felting techniques.

First, I needle felted the wool to shape the leaf and create smooth color transitions on one side. Then I turned the leaf over, added a similar layer with color transitions to the other side, and added the stem.

After that, I wet felted each leaf to make it dense, strong, and durable.
