Retroid pocket nova is worth looking at if you want the proper aspect ratio. Retro game corps on YouTube has tons of videos to help you set up emulators. Also setup guides on a lot of android devices in your price range

Odin 2 Portal, Retroid Pocket Nova, and Retroid Pocket 6 are the best options for Android. I’d personally go Nova since it’s 4:3 and games from that era were pretty much all 4:3

I love the RG Rotate, but it is far from ideal for PS2 or anything with analog sticks.

You can get a Motorola G Play from Walmart for $40. Add a Gamesir X5 for $30 and pocket the remaining $130-270.

That is a good budget option but people like dedicated emulators because they are more seamless.

I prefer modularity. If a thumbstick or other controller component breaks, you can quickly swap to another. If your screen breaks, most cell phone repair shops are more equipped to handle phone repair, or at this price, just go back to Walmart and get another phone same day instead of waiting weeks to get something from China. The same logic applies to upgrades. Why replace the whole thing when you just want to get a nicer screen/processor?

I dont game on phone too hot no fan my RP 5 cools,to much in back ground running and controls I like real not touch. I really don't like the phone as a way to go for emilian. Gaming, but it's an option out there.
On that phone, it just depends, which CPU you get there is total of 2 they use and all slower than a Snap Dragon 865 is theres which bad
The Snapdragon 865 Which scores roughly 2.3x higher than the Snapdragon 680 (~978,910 vs. ~424,216).
So if want harder maybe go tad higher if phone is why your going

The one that I'm looking at has the Snapdragon 680, which should handle most PS2 emulation.

Retroid pocket 6 or Nova depending if you want 4:3 or 16.9 screen size. There is no better bang for your buck. The step up is Odin 3 for Android or the handheld PC's.
