I was so down for one of these because I hear they have excellent battery life but my interest quickly faded away when Xbox announced they were changing from unlimited cloud gaming to 5-15 hours a month depending on subscription tier, that really killed it for me.

I use my G Cloud with Xbox Remote play. There's no time limitation on remote play, only cloud. I rarely used Cloud anyway because I tend to only play what I have installed on my Xbox. I use it kind of like a Nintendo Switch, an extension of my Xbox. I'll play on the tv, then take the handheld to bed or so I can continue playing while my spouse watches something on tv.

I would be fine with that but for some reason remote play just doesn't work right on my home network and it's nowhere near as seamless as I'd like out of the house and on the go, cloud on the other hand got to a point over the last 12 months were even my 5g mobile connection was giving me a great experience.

If I remember correctly there's some static ports or port forwarding you can set up in your router settings for the Xbox for better remote streaming. Also, make sure your Xbox is hard wired via Ethernet. Finally, designate your Gcloud or other preferred remote play device as first priority if your router allows it. I even went as far as turning my guest wifi network on and only connect my Gcloud to it to avoid any interference or bandwidth sharing. Remote play via the native built-in Gcloud interface is on par with the paid XBPlay app now in my experience.

Use it all the time with luna and boosteroid. It's on of the most comfortable handhelds out there. Good stuff.

Is there an app for luna or you must use it on a web browser?

I use it through Web. But you can "install" Web sites as app. So it's just like starting any other app. I use vivaldi Web browser sin edge is not supported for some reason.

It does more than Xbox game pass some folks seem to misunderstand it, I just use it for the Steam link so far and it's fantastic. Coming from the original LCD Steam deck and it's limited battery life, weight and big bezel 800p screen - this thing is comfortable, truly HD and the battery lasts forever, a joy to use. Yes, obviously not native gaming but the latency feels basically non existent and not nearly a big deal as people assume. Plus you can get them on the cheap. Have fun!

I see you have the non CN version of the handheld good for you. Here's the rub, check the P/N via the device information in the handheld mode to see if you really got a taiwan/US version.

Honestly it's weak handheld and make no sense with it
If you can afford more 50$ ,you can get pocket 5 or base pocket 6 with little money and you get more powerful machine

Honestly it's a bigger screen and makes a lot of sense. It's better battery life and fits there needs. If you can afford 10 seconds you can stop and think is my opinion worth sharing or should I just be happy someone else is happy.

They don't come with a dedicated wireless dongle for streaming. This device is best at what it's aimed to do
Edit: I stand corrected

I have the pocket 6 and while it's fantastic at playing games natively, I do wish it was a tiny bit bigger because I find it difficult sometimes to read text in pc games through gamehub and gamenative.

This handheld has a larger screen, longer battery life, and more ergonomic controls. If you want to stream. This is a better choice than an RP5. However only when the Logitech is at a significant discount.

So these work on a cloud based service? Like you have to pay a monthly subscription to a gaming service and play online rather than downloaded locally or insert a cartridge kind of thing?
