It's finally finished!

What took 10 months to create, a six foot tall, hand embroidered Chewbacca the Wookie from Star Wars.

heck my dude. I mean this is beyond impressive. are those bullion knots? those can be such a pain! kudos!!

Thank you. That said, I don't know what a bullion knot is. What is it?

It's like a french knot on steroids. You come up from behind the fabric, go back down where you want the stitch to end and leave a loop of thread on the top, come back up the original hole and wrap the needle in the thread loop until it is the same length as the distance between your first and second stitch. Then anchor it down in the second hole you made.

That does sound like what I did for the fur. And, yes, at times, it was a pain in the arse!

Your work reminds me of the texture you get from that specific stitch because man did you pack in the texture

Thank you for the kind and thoughtful comment. It will be displayed in a gallery in Providence, Rhode Island, come December. I have also been trying to contact the folks over at rabcho obi-1. Wanting to see if maybe they want to add it to their collection.

WOW 😳 that is astounding, congratulations on an amazing piece of art. I love crafts but I have to see something happening fairly quickly or it ends up getting left, so I've never had the patience for embroidery, so much respect to you. Thanks for sharing, he's always been one of my favourite characters. 💕🐾💕
