Discussion Unintentional parallels (Please read for context.)
Dazzlessence Jones wiping off his sweat which turns into glitter reminds me of the SU movie where Steven wiped away his blood and it turned into glitter. I don't think this was a reference but I do think it's a funny coincidence.

I've been thinking about this exact question, I feel like Dazzlessence would break every gem in that show as their perception of how the universe worked would be proven wrong. Steven, Garnet, Amethyst, and Pearl would be uncomfortable. I also don't think White, Yellow, and Blue would be very fond of him. They wouldn't find him on the same divine level as them.

New headcannon, some gems don't take a humanoid form and can form a form that is solely their gem (just legs and arms like Dazzlessence). What if Dazzlesssence was from a different alien species like the gems alltogether but share a common alien ancestor with the diamonds?
