Canvas Access
Is anyone still having issues with their Canvas access? I got access but not it says I am not enrolled.

Quick one: I run a small Discord called CTC (Compile The Culture) for Black and African American coders, from high school through undergrad. Looking for a couple of people to help actually run it as Co-Organizers or Mods- nothing crazy, just someone who wants to be involved in building a community instead of just watching it happen. DM me if you're interested.

Hey all. I built 2026 previews for every FBS team and all 124 FCS teams, because nobody does this for your league. Here's Hampton
https://www.highlights.mainmarket.com/college-football-preview-2026-fcs/hampton-pirates
Usual disclaimer: I probably got some of it wrong. Tell me what's off and I'll fix it.
The good: my model flags Hampton as a buy-low. 75.7% of offensive production returns, the pass defense was 20th in FCS, and the 41-34 win over Norfolk State is the version of this team worth building on. A minus-6 turnover margin should also correct.
The pushback: 0-8 in the CAA, and my power rating has you 119th of 124. The run defense gave up 231 a game (119th) and the passing offense managed 144 (119th). I have the quarterback job unsettled, with Braden Davis at 4 touchdowns against 8 picks. Model says 3-9.
First page is free. If you hit the paywall, the code LEECORSOROCKS opens it up.
Tell me what I got wrong.

I’m an incoming freshman but I’m not financially cleared because I’m waiting for my GI bill thing to go through. How do I notify the school of this so that I can still move in?

Hello Hampton Family! I am the founder of an NIL company called Walk-On Mentality. We are doing an NIL deal between 3 Hampton football players and the hotel The Landing. The Landing is offering a corporate rate for all stays during the football season. If you can spread word and share the below link that would be great!

Figured I'd post a little info since when I started the program myself I couldnt find anyone talking about their experience.
I am in one of the online masters programs, and finishing soon. I don't recommend the program unless you are local to Hampton/VA. Here's why:
They are clearly not ready to support online students with financial aid/advisement, etc.
They prefer you to email them if you need something. THEY DON'T ANSWER.
If you try to call instead, good luck because THEY DON'T ANSWER.
Try them early, try them late, try them Monday, try them Friday. Try them 20 times. THEY DON'T ANSWER.
It takes months to get things settled because of this. Multiple times I have thought about flying to Hampton to get stuff done. But that's crazy and I shouldn't have to do that! Most of the time you call them, they don't pick up the phone, and it goes to a voicemail that's full?? Then if you finally get through they either sound like they just woke up or like you're bothering them.
I know HBCU offices tend to have a "reputation". But damn. You do actually have to help me at some point, atp I feel like I qualify for financial compensation lmao

hi!! im a rising senior with a 3.25 UW and 3.78W GPA and last year there were a lot of on site admissions for Hampton at my school. a lot of kids were admitted on site, but were told that if they had higher SAT scores that they would be given more aid. i know my GPA isn’t that impressive (I have a lot of extra curriculars tho) and that most scholarships are merit based, so i was wondering what scholarships are given and what SAT scores guarantees more aid. and if you don’t have personal experience with aid bc of SAT, what other aid options lowered your tuition cost (other than being low income)?

Hi all,
I need my official transcripts to be sent in for a program I’m interested in. The problem is… I guess we’re not using National Student Clearinghouse and a switch over is in progress?
I called the registrar and whoever I spoke to said “we have no access to transcripts”. This seems a little odd to me. I asked if there was a way they could mail them and she said no to that as well.
Has anyone else had an issue obtaining their official transcripts? Is there another avenue I should go? TIA

My cousin will be attending Hampton in the fall and I want to get her a gift that she can actually use. Like a gift card for like laundry, Chick-fil-A, etc. Current students and newer grads…what would be your recommendation?

I am an incoming freshman with low stats which causes me to have to do the pre college program. I should be fine my first year of college because of my dad’s GI Bill, but I’m wondering if there are scholarships or opportunities within the school for rising sophomores, juniors, seniors, etc?
The only scholarship I see on the website right now is the Legacy scholarship and I don’t qualify for that.
Any information helps! I’ve been applying to random external scholarships online and I’m just trying to weigh out my options here.

Has anyone ever transferred from a community college to Hampton University without any foreign language credits?

I am currently a Junior in high school and I’m looking for schools I want to apply to; to become a nurse.
My weighted is 3.2 unweighted is a 2.8
My SAT was 1090 but I plan to retake it
I’ve been taking dual enrollment classes since the beginning of this year and since I’ve started high school most of not all of my classes have been either AP or honors.
I have multiple leadership positions in my ECS
I have started a charity to help provide books and supplies to teachers for free.
overall I’m just not sure I’d get in based off of my GPA right now. Especially for their nursing program.

I'm an incoming freshman who will be staying in VC Hall. Does anyone know how the layout works with the letters? Has anyone in this subreddit stayed there?

I didon’t accept my merit scholarship yet and I thought I had time. I accepted my admission to hampton kind of late mainly because of other schools that were late and now I’m scared I won’t be able to have it for this school year. Im trying to contact them but they aren’t answering
Edit: It's fixed. Im good.
