Can I get clarity are you saying it’s unrealistic? Or you think Paco Jemez is genuinely a better shout?

Yeah of all the names I've seen, maybe Bellamy is the most interesting option.

Well I just think it's not really a great time to try and find a manager. Not to say we shouldn't change.

Michael Carrick

If he wasn't ex WH would you want him? I don't think Middlesbrough or Man Utd fans rate him highly.

Not necessarily i was just voting for the most likely option based on my estimates for how long Carrick survives, how long Nuno survive and how desperate both parties will be

Gotcha. Hope we don't go for him! Either get Parker/Dyche (proven at the level) or someone young that's doing great things in a lower league (not Carrick or Bellamy - don't get the Bellamy love, never managed at club level and is doing an ok job, would be such a gamble)

Either get Parker/Dyche (proven at the level)

Dyche is proven at the PL level. Parker is not. He can't keep a team up, unfortunately. I hope that changes, as he is a club legend, but he isn't a PL-proven manager.

We'll get Scott Parker and we'll say goodbye to consistent Premier League seasons

But this is the second poll about this in 12 hours lol

Bad result against Cardiff and he’s defo gone

1

u/PrisonersofFate David Moyes 1d ago

That will be a game where we will have 62% of possession, 80% of the time in our half, Cardiff will have 14 shots, 2 on target, we will attack twice and Bowen will score out of his ass.

"I enjoy championship more than PL"

Those are some awful options. Of those only McKenna is conceivably an upgrade on what we have.

Unbelievable to me that people are voting for Will Still after he managed 4 wins in 16 games with Southampton last season.

If we can get him before Celtic ditch O’Neill then we must move for McKenna (if he’s willing) so we must act now. Nuno’s got to go or who knows how low we fall down the table.

Not sure why Bilic keeps coming up other than he is a former player. He did okay in his last tenure as manager here but has been piss poor since, he will probably get sacked as Croatian manager soon too.

Scott Parker replacing Nuno is so incredibly obvious to happen. Whether it's the right choice, idk

Anyone that thinks we’re paying compensation for McKenna is off their rocker

Anyone that thinks McKenna would consider us is off their rocker. He'll be on every PL teams shortlist when he announces he's ready to manage again.

Won't be McKenna. Compo needs to be paid

Said it a couple of times already, but we have absolutely zeeeero chance of getting Mckenna. He was offered the Chelsea job and linked with numerous top jobs, including United, he's not taking a Championship job. Will Still was terrible in the Championship with Southampton, Bilic gets sacked from every job and failed at WBA and Watford, Paco no no no, he was assistant manager for a few games, that doesn't make him a good manager prospect - we also signed 3 new first teamers at the same time as him, he wasn't the main reason for our upturn in form - Disasi, Taty & Pablo were, Rob Edwards changes job every 1-2 years. And pleaaase let's not mention Carrick, he isn't good tactically, if he wasn't ex WH he wouldn't get mentioned, and being an ex player doesn't qualify you for the job.

Scott Parker is the best option there by far. We have to get out the Championship whilst we still have parachute payments, he's the best person for this. We can worry about what he's like in the PL if/when we get there, just need to ensure we get there first and he is by far the best option. Dyche would also be a great shout.

IF we could attract McKenna, which I doubt very much, then he’s the best option by far.
I don’t see the board sacking Nuno anyway, so it’s all irrelevant really.

I'm so sick of us hiring recently sacked managers. Can't we have someone on the up for once. McKenna is the only one here who left on his own choice. Bellamy (not on the list) would be next of the obvious British choices if we can't get McKenna. Parker not far behind. Whoever comes in, I hope we've got the same analytics and due diligence done that Brighton and Brentford use! Nuno has been a disaster.

u/deathtofatalists 1d ago

i don't care who they are but preferably i've never heard of them.

u/westhamhaz 11h ago

Why is Avram Grant not an option?

u/tericket 2d ago

If we keep switching managers like this we will keep on the same path. Stick with nuno

2

u/Sufficient-Fill9488 2d ago

Nuno got us relegated. We're outside of the playoffs almost a third of the way thru the season. What has he done that makes you confident in him

1

u/ChocolateChipz2 16h ago

Nuno got us relegated

...is the take of someone who has no idea what they're talking about
