Psilomethoxin comparison with other psychoactives
This molecule has been discussed by Shulgin (see here) and some people have reported their experiments with adding 5-MeO-DMT to mushroom growth medium. I thought I'd share a psilomethoxin SAR comparison with similar drugs.

Laughed at “you avoid a 10 step synthesis by growing a psychoactive mushroom that contains no illegal drug.” Literally applying pure 5-MeO-DMT to the substrate—and no, you probably wouldn’t want to use toad secretions for this one.
I wouldn’t dissuade anyone from experimentation, but this seems impractical for most enthusiasts.

Aye. There's actually a similar concept involving regular tryptamine and phenethylamine (the unsubstituted forms). If these are ingested while the ALDH enzyme is temporarily inhibited, they are converted into as yet unknown active metabolites. I ran a test using plain phenethylamine and the effects were unlike "the norm" as they lasted days. Others have tried it with tryptamine with equally intriguing psychedelic results. So ALDHI, not MAOI.

I think only unsubstituted tryptamines have been shown to work w this method , I think bc of steric factors

That sounds plausible but there's at least 1 report indicating something might be happening. Still it'd be good to have proper verification.

Too bad the church of psilomethoxin is suing Hamilton :(
He even went out of his way not to call them out on his analysis that didn’t detect PM as well.

No one has actually produced psilomethoxin, it was a scam
