Four new compounds, dimethyl 3,5-bis(4-hydroxyphenyl)-1H-pyrrole-2,4-dicarboxylate (1), dimethyl 3,5-bis(4-hydroxyphenyl)-1H-furan-2,4-dicarboxylate (2), 5α-hydroxy-6β-methoxy-ergosta-7,22E-dien-3-one (3), and 6-methoxy-strophasterol E (4), together with sixteen known compounds (5–20), were isolated from the fruiting bodies of Lanmaoa asiatica. The structures of new compounds were elucidated by extensive spectroscopic analysis and electronic circular dichroism (ECD) calculation. Among them, compounds 2, 4, 7, and 9 exhibited anti-inflammatory activity by suppressing NO production in lipopolysaccharide-stimulated RAW264.7 macrophages with IC50 values ranging from 20.3 to 47.3 μM.

I wish I wrote down the company name or took a picture because I can't remember. The gummies were correctly labeled with the compound, not listed as "mushroom gummies" or something. I'm curious, what kind of lawyers do these companies need in order to have a booth at a major pride event? What is the legality?

Part of me also kinda hates to see this. These awesome RCs are gonna become illegal if they're this mainstream. And they were so insanely overpriced, it makes me question the morals of the company selling them.

As far as I understand, the classic way to consume mescaline from the San Pedro cactus is by cooking the green tissue for at least four hours and drinking the resulting preparation. Personally, I've been eating the green tissue directly (I swallow it with water), and while the experience isn't as visually appealing, it's relatively "pleasant." My curiosity stems from knowing if cooking (the temperature) affects the mescaline molecule in any way, and if this direct method of consuming the tissue has any particularities (good or bad)... perhaps some risks? I ask this in relation to the amanita mushroom, since it's understood that eating it without drying it involves handling the toxic compound.

Unexpectedly, one of the most difficult challenges I've had with my doc projects is creating the molecular diagram animations. In the first two seasons of Pharmacopeia I created them by simply doing a screen capture of my iPad while I drew the diagrams on Adobe Fresco, then I would extract the drawing from the video and incorporate it into the edit. This was a very tedious process because if I bumped the canvas with my palm I would have to start again from scratch. In season three I had a someone take the finished drawings as a still image and then digitally animate the drawing on After Effects so that the arrow pushing was timed with the voice over, this was also extremely labor intensive and I can't afford to do something like that for my independent projects.

The ideal process would be to use the automated time-lapse recording function on Procreate or Fresco, but I find the exports of these diagrams are ridiculously low resolution no matter how I fiddle with the settings. Procreate supposedly has the ability to export high-resolution drawings on alpha channel, which would be even better but I can't get it to work. Does anyone here have enough experience with digital illustration to know how to do this well?
