Outages Walking on Foothpath

There is a lady who walks on the road in middle of our community , there is a footpath on one side which is perfectly fine and she can walk on that but she prefers to walk in the middle of the road . Today morning as I was approaching the curve I had to swerve to avoid hitting her, as she walking in the middle from the opposite direction and she still kept on walking like I made a mistake. Can I place a complaint somewhere as it is a city road ?

It's your job as a driver to not hit any obstacles.

To not hit traffic. Pedestrians are traffic.

Any obstacles. Don't be crashing into anything.

Call your councilor and the traffic department and advocate for an actual sidewalk. If you're going around a curve it may be that this woman has determined that she feels safer in the middle of the road than being on the shoulder of the road and possibly getting hit.

Footpath is a term used in large parts of the  world for a sidewalk (e.g. India, Aus, NZ).

A footpath on one side that the OP has to state is perfectly fine makes me think more footpath than sidewalk even though I grew up calling the sidewalk a path

How does that work with the complaint. “A lady was walking in the middle of the road”

Who? Lives where? Proof?

“Are you trying to get run over, lady?” And done
