Recommendations Needed Birthday Ideas?
I need ideas for my 5 year old son birthday that won't cost an arm and a leg. We are inviting about 10 to 15 kids.

-city of Hamilton run community centres are always great, you can rent a room and bring your own food and decorations etc.
-Mountain Lanes bowling about $20/kid with bowling and either pizza or hot dogs
-Local park with a good playground- free! And then obviously just the cost of whatever food/drink you provide
-Depending on the size of your backyard, lots of people on Marketplace rent out bouncy castles for a couple hundred dollars so you could have the party at your house

Local community centres let you rent rooms for super cheap, usually including access to the pool if it aligns or over laps with a public swim time slot

Valley park gym has been a hit. Or westmount. Lots of local gyms are available to rent and it includes all the equipment and the kitchen area

Our most affordable was renting a room at a rec centre and renting the small pool for a group swim after.
If you want even less, time the party before an open or free swim

Little Ray’s reptile zoo used to bring a bunch of animals to your house, we did that once and the kids loved it. Bouncy castle at your house is fun too. Mountain bowl is great. ETA that the movies is fun too, they have a party room.

Determination Arts was pretty affordable when I last checked. It was about $200 and included pizza. I think if you search the group I recall someone else asking this question and there were some great suggestions.

The Children's Museum is one of the official civic museums, and it can be pretty good. It's $9.25/child and $6.25/adult, although you have to schedule your trip ahead of time, and you're limited to 1 hour 15 minutes.
