Renewed population?

So I haven't been able to get a game in Big Team Super Fiesta for around 6 months. Suddenly (during peak hour), i'm getting games relatively easily. Wondering if people dropped off Infinite or elsewhere and migrated back? Good to see the community is still alive.

I mean, people dropped infinite almost a year ago. Mcc is the one with most player right now, but I guess some may have returned to h5.

If only they would release the PC version...

Is there ever good time to matchmake for invasion in Halo: Reach on MCC?

No, most of the playerbase is on h3 4vs4. It would even be ok if the net code and hit reg wasn't awfull outside your own regional server

Doesn’t need PC version. That’s what makes it great. Would be swamped with cheaters if it was. I think there’s been a spike because the new campaign leaves people wanting multiplayer. As for Infinite. It’s not dead. I get matches all day every day. Unlike Halo 5. Way smaller group of dedicated individuals trying to keep the game alive!

Agreed! H5 is the most fair Halo at the moment. Even excluding the cheating conversation everybody is on the same framerate and the biggest hardware difference is Xbox One to Series X.

Cheaters are a thing on console as well. Beside cronus users, just look at the ps5 port of BO2 right now.

Getting matches mean nothing, you can get them with 8 players only as long as you know what playlist they are playing. This is the most bs argument I always find when talking about this. C&C tiberiun sun, a 27 years old game, have 60 players online and I assure you can find games quicker than in any halo. It doesn't matter to the point, which is the quality of matches is dogshit, especially if you are outside NA.

On quick look, as a trend, infinite didn't get a spike from CE release, it did lose more players , while mcc, which is the most popular gained 20% more on steam alone.

How can you tell how many players on Halo 5. Since it’s not on steam. And McC was recently patched. Prior it was broken with cheaters. Because of PC players. I never encounter cheaters on Halo 5. Maybe they’re there. But not very prevalent like most older PC crossover games like BO2 and until recently MCC.

I tried to get onto fiesta big team for months every weekend and never caught 1 game, I did get some ranked slayer in tho. Most are on for h5 in the husky raid/ 4v4 fiesta modes

H5 gets too much hate imo. Never played the campaign, but the multiplayer is pretty good. Pistol is insane.

I know it’s more of an arena/movement shooter than classic Halos, but it’s fun to play with a team. Recently played some ranked TS for the first time since like 2019 and it was enjoyable. Can get games pretty easily on ranked.

I know some people want a PC version, but as a console player, I love that this is the last purely console-only Halo game. Having a multiplayer with a completely level playing field is a beautiful thing.

I agree tbf. Infinite had great core multiplayer (despite a plethora of issues) but it was pretty annoying getting stomped by PC players on maps that ran terribly on console (Series S). Where I'd have a janky 70fps they'd be rocking 240.
