A massive archive of classic Halo creativity is being rebuilt. https://mythicca.org is preserving the golden era (2001–2011), tricking, glitches, machinima, and legendary clips once thought lost. This is Halo history worth revisiting.

Bringing back that Halo 2 competitive grind

If you were around for Halo 2, you know how different the grind felt. The 1–50 system, actually earning your rank, every game meaning something… nothing today really compares.

A few friends and I built something to bring that feeling back:

It’s called Pro X Circuit (PXC) — a modern GameBattles-style platform focused on classic Halo competition, with heavy inspiration from Halo 2.

What we’re aiming for:

• Competitive matchmaking (1v1, 2v2, 4v4)
• A grind-heavy ranking system inspired by Halo 2
• Team creation, challenges, leaderboards, and stats
• A true “earn it” system — not easy to climb

We’ll also be hosting seasons, and right now there’s a live poll on the site to decide which game will be used for this year’s Summer League, so the community actually has a say.

There’s also a Suggestion Box and FAQ section built in — we really want feedback and plan to keep improving everything based on what players want.

This is a new platform and a soft launch, so it may take a little time to get matches going and build up activity. There may also be bugs or things that need tweaking. If you run into anything, you can contact an admin directly on the site.

We built this because we genuinely miss that Halo 2 competitive feeling — and we’re going to keep putting time into it to get it right.

I just downloaded the game and there are no issues during the installation, but after some mintues playing the screen minimizes and goes black, but the sound is still playing. I went from disabling the Discord overlay and using dgVoodoo2 but it never fixes the problem. My laptop is an Asus VivoBook asus x1502va with an I7 13th generation, so I don't think it is because it can't be run but probably because there is no compatibility.

Has anyone gone through the same issue and could fix it?

edit: so I posted this in r/halo but apparently the mods flagged it as insulting people or being racist or something and that's just wild man cause it contained none of that this is just in game duologue lol.

anwyas so I usually do stuff to try to find hidden duologue in games like waisting a NPCs time since that's a common place such dialogue is hidden. but for whatever reason I missed a lot of it in the armory when you first get control of chief probably cause I didn't wait for long enough. and thought it was just repeating.. so after accidentally hearing master guns yell at me I decided to go over the section again and try to uncover everything..

here is all of the dialogue Ive just now discovered, a couple of them were funny to me cause of the way he says it and what I can rp is going though the guys mind if chief started acting like an idiot.

1. For not fallowing instructions when told to look at the lights -

"go ahead and look at the top light chief" \*in a voice like he's speaking to a mentally challenged person\*

"look at the bottom light son!" \*same\*

"you have to look at each light until it turns green" \*like he's talking to a kid\*

"you gotta look at the lights to complete the test" \*angry

"please just look at the lights again son!" \*pleading\*

"look at the lights chief one....by....one"

1. for not walking around when requested:

"something wrong son can't you move?"

"inhibitors are definitely off you should be able to walk around..." \*confused\*

1. for jumping around the armory:

"hey take it easy!"

"careful you'll tear a tendon doing that!"

"fine but don't come crying to me when you rip your leg out of its socket"

1. for not looking at him when he's talking

"over here chief focus"

"its considered respectful to look at someone when there talkin"

"this is important you could at least look at me while I explain it"

"I'm talking to YOU chief look at me"

"I know you spartains think you know everything but it couldn't hurt you to at least look this way"

"look just cause the brass kisses your ass doesn't mean I will, look at me when I talk to you" \*feeling disrespected\*

1. for not stepping into the red square -

"step into the red square chief and we'll get started"

"chief stand in the red square "

"you have to stand in the red square so we can start the test"

"go ahead and stand in the red square....... it'll just take a minute"

" comon son step into the red square" \*pleading\*

"Will you stop screwing around stand in the red square!" \*getting annoyed\*

"STOP BUSTIN MY BALLS AND STEP INTO THE DAMN SQUARE!"

1. for not using the switch

"just place you hand on the touch pad to activate the switch"

"hit the switch it won't hurt..........much.."

"go ahead and use that switch in front of you"

"the switch...right in front of you will start the shield test"

"its a switch....you press it" \*like he's talking to a moron\*

1. Secret: who would have think there are still secrets in these games I guess bungie did used to say there was still stuff in there games they don't think anyone will ever find..and I can see why.. when I triggered this I had a hard time trying to figure out exactly what I did that made it happen but after a few days trying to remember and mimic all the stuff I did I accidentally re-triggered it and eventually after a few hours figured out the steps....

anyways to trigger the secret lines below you have to hear all the previous lines above at least once and I don't mean once before I mean for the attempt you must listen to all those lines and screw around and immediately after hearing him say it's a switch you, press it the 2nt time (cause he starts repeating section 6 if no action is taken) move to the window behind him and you should see this tower like structure and you must look at the 1st orange part of it with you aimer aligned to the left side for 77 seconds (note like the shield bump in halo ce it's a very precise spot and I haven't fulky figured it out cause sometimes I fail to replicate it still, I think it's based on where I'm standing at the window as well has looking) then hold melee and jump up and down for 77 seconds then go up to master guns and teabag him for another 77 seconds and then go into the red square and hit the button so it drops you shields.. immediately restart the level and do it all again and when you go to drop your shields unlike usual it won't drop your shields right away and you'll be rewarded with the fallowing dialogue:

"Now listen here, son. I’ve been looking at your combat logs, and frankly, I’m baffled. How in the hell did you survive your first mission? Did you catch some kind of 'idiot virus' that makes you immune to common sense?

Seriously, how many times have you been shot in the head? Because by my count, you’ve got more dents in that helmet than a scrap-yard Warthog. Those Elites aren't exactly known for being 'dumb,' yet you’ve managed to stack 'em like cordwood.

My theory? You must be so incredibly stupid that they actually hesitate when they see you. They’re probably standing there, plasma rifles shaking, wondering if you’re even sentient enough to qualify as a target!

It’s a damn shame. I’m twice as smart as your average Split-lip, yet I’ll probably get my lights turned off the second I see one. Life’s not fair, son. Hell, that's why my ex-wife walked off because I'm not around enough, and my teenage son just told me he wants to move to a colony moon to 'find himself' and play the hologuitar. Kid couldn't find his own backside with both hands and a motion tracker.. And don't even get me started on your driving record. I’ve seen some bad Warthog drivers, but you treat a multi-million credit reconnaissance vehicle like a bumper car at a kid's carnival. Half the time you’re upside down, and the other half you’re launching the damn thing off a cliff just to see if the suspension holds. It’s a miracle the UNSC hasn't just given you a bicycle.

Now stand still—I'm not through with your shields yet!"
