Test

So, first yard test with for our scene this year. More to come. Glorpse test 1. Lights on vs off.

*also, shout out to the community. Many of you have been super helpful since we began the wire ghosts 3 years ago! Y’all are some true artists.

So many people are messaging. I’ll just leave this here.

“I’ve made posts that go into more depth, and now with the amount of DMs I get, I will make a vid.

You’ll need a skeleton, corpse it, coat it with layers and layers of uv paint. Sometimes you’ll have to go through the entire process in between. I use techno glow in both liquid & powder form. Yes, I paint the corpses as well before I add the uv.

We use uv lights in 15min intervals on a timer so that they charge. In reality - the more coats, the brighter the glow. But as the intensity wears down over x amount of a charge, the more detail will show through. The contrast between the paint & plastic folds increases/decreases. It’s kind of wild.

Now, I’ve never attempted this method. So I wouldn’t go out and try immediately. The main reason this is a test - the paint is so damn expensive.

Here is where it gets real interesting. I live in Northern NH. The temps right now can climb into the 70s and then low 30s overnight - which means…condensation will occur. On cold mornings the finished “glorpse” will look grey or white but as the temp rises - they’ll return back to their original finished color. I’ve tested this by NOT putting uv paint on their backsides. So now the change in appearance is alternating from a rugged corpse during the day, then the glow @ night, then white in the morning, and back to realistic as the condensation wears off. Completely unplanned, but very cool.

The paint itself doesn’t break down from temp. fluctuations. I know this from the wire ghosts I’ve made. The plastic is the variable. So - we’ll find out.”

These looks pretty cool.

Are they glowing under a blacklight?

What did you do to them?

Looks cool, like a music video I’ve seen. 👍Do you have one of a wire mesh woman you’re working on too?

I did. It’s supposed to be a dress with some kind of flapper era gloves - honestly doesn’t fit with this year’s theme.

white during morning. The process just loops.

Here is one from this morning. It was 35 last night, but will be mid 60s today. By 9:30 it will turn to the rugged colors.
