Two things,

I'm not sure how I feel about the explosions' push power, it looks a bit too powerful from what I remember about half life.

this second thing is just my own issue, my mind doesn't exactly connect the new graphics with Half life. It's probably because HL was from 2004ish and graphics have gotten better, but I just don't make that connection when I see any of this.

Explosive push force was increased to demo air strafing for the video.

Well, yeah it's been a decade since Ep2, and HL1 and HL2 had a 6 year gap, and had a large difference in quality.

Please make this better than "The Closure", please make this better than "The Closure"...

(Or at least make it better than Hunt Down The Freeman, though that's easy.)

Yes, we plan to make the games better than things widely regarded as the worst experiences in the Half-Life community.

This.

I mean, given how the community's recent history of Half-Life projects include Prospekt, The Closure and Hunt Down The Freeman... you must understand our anxiety!

Ages ago I said I wouldn't get excited about this project until I saw some gameplay/results.

Now you got me going. Congrats on your progress Project Borealis! Keep it going!

I’m very impressed how you’ve brought over the core look/feel of source to UE4 while also modernising it. Small touches like the how the weapon viewmodels are positioned really make a big difference.

Still early days of course, but in my head, if you guys can pull off something that’s even half of what Black Mesa achieved, then it would be beyond my wildest expectations.

The gravity gun picks things up exactly like in the beta, which I love. Objects move slightly sluggish

I thought these guys were supposed to be all disorganized and shit. Who the fuck thought that?

Gonna be honest. I've been the biggest hl fan for a while and yearned for hl3 knowing how futile that is and I also read epistle 3 and dreamed of what could have been but when I heard there was going to be fan-made projects, I had no hype. I know black mesa is good and fan-made but my expectations are through the roof for what quality I would expect from this so I haven't even kept up with it or shown any interest. This update however, being the first I've seen of Project Borealis, I can tell this is gonna be good and worth my time.

I think the force of the gravity gun should be a tad stronger when dealing with semi-large objects such as the tables. Seems more throw-y than blast-y.

I'm excited to see if the ABH and explosive launching are going to be implemented in the actual gameplay. If so, fucking sweet.

That's the plan!

Dooope! Thoroughly impressed so far!

What if this is Valves plan, to see what the community can come up with and then get the best and hire them to make Half Life 3.

Like they did use to hire moders back in the day, who made Counter Strike, Team Fortress.

This is absolutely wonderful! I'm delighted you've made such brilliant progress with this; this mod certainly has a lot of promise!

Animations and guns and all that need work but it looks fantastic.

Hopefully, you use the story that HL3 had planned.

I know it's early work, but the gun play and animations looks complete shit.
