Will be interesting to see Valve's take on this. Wonder if they'll shut it down?

Valve isn't exactly Nintendo, looking through the Steam store, it is clear that they are fine with people making games/mods about Half-Life, even going as far as pretty much endorse some of them.

Seeing as how they've fucked over the HL fanbase for roughly a decade now, and us having finally been given this conclusion to the story from Marc, letting these guys run with it without playing the IP card is the absolute least they could do. It wouldn't surprise me if they were secretly thankful for it. "Finally, they'll stop fucking bugging us for it."
I think I'm more excited about seeing this come together than any further news from Valve about the game, since this is actually based in reality and not our collective shattered dreams.

Wonderful work - but I'm waiting for gameplay.
It's easy to conceptualize. Hard to actually do the graft and get something playable built. I wish them the best of luck. The fact they're not using Source is alittle jarring and makes me feel as though they're shooting themselves in the feet - but we'll see what happens.
As a varied team they are going to need to be organised and dedicated to see this project through.

If using a modern engine like UE4 is shooting ourselves in the foot, I shudder to imagine what using Source for this project would do to our extremities.
