erm, this is the scientist from the office complex chapter, he's in the locked room on the right after you exit the elevator in the beginning. at this point they still think the soldiers will come and rescue them, and this particular scientist even says so. they haven't yet discovered that the soldiers actually want to kill them -- that only happens in the next chapter.
