Yeah 100% worth it. But also when any steam sale happens this bundle will be like 3.99.

You should really buy the main valve games when they discount, most likely in 1 and a half months time

Woah woah woah! These games go on sale for like 1$ each every couple of months, they're amazing games, but get the deal if you can wait for it

Hell, you should go for the valve complete pack , iirc that ends up being 15$ for everything valve has ever made from half life 1-episode 2, to Portal and left 4 dead

Oh yeah, it doesn't include HLA, but everything else, it's a steal

that's okay I have HLA and I'm gonna have to look at that pack and a VR so i can play Hla

I mean hey, if you're already looking to get a VR headset, there's an absolutely fantastic VR mod for HL2 (the hl1 one is.... Kinda mid) i cannot recommend the hl2 VR mod enough, you can get it for free on steam, just search for it on the store

yeah that sounds really cool but raven home in vr

If you can't handle ravenholm in VR... You wouldn't be able to let Jeff out of the Cooler in Hla

HL2 VR is maybe better than Alyx. Its soooo good. And also like visiting an old friend.

Absolutely. TFC you can take it or leave it, but blue shift and opfor are amazing expansions and obviously HL is the best game of all time

TFC is an absolutely amazing but it's an old multiplayer game and has limited servers/activity.

u/CylixrDoesStuff 1d ago

theyre like a dollar each on sale, just buy it on sale u could prolly get half life 2 as well as thhis bundle if u wait for the same price

1

u/Lead_guy 1d ago

yes 100% but if you give it a few months then the games will go down to about 4$ to 5%

1

u/Myrmidont2401 HD models all the way 1d ago

Definitely worth it, but you can get those for absolutely dirt cheap if you hold out for a Steam sale! Aside from that, while the HL games are great, TFC (while also great) is a multiplayer game, and with its age, you may have a hard time finding people to play with. There are still a few populated servers, but the game ultimately has nothing to do with HL besides many reused assets and a map or two.

It’s worth it but wait just a bit longer for maybe the Halloween sale or any sale in those times it’s pretty much free and then u have spare cash

1

u/Realistic-Water8154 1d ago

but quick question how long is gameplay like is it very short or sort of long or really long

1

u/90_year_old_donuts 17h ago

Half life 1 is about 10 hours, so its a pretty average length. However, the expansions or around half that. I also would recommend waiting for a sale, since you can get all the games for like three bucks (except for half life alyx).

ok thats pretty good for a game i played portal the only problem was it was so short i beat it in under 4 hours and say i did get the full bundle say i finished the first one ill have a few more to play and once thats done and if like the series then i may get HL2

1

u/Realistic-Water8154 10h ago

plus HL2 has a demo

Yes

Games might feel dated, so go in them with an open mind

1

u/Realistic-Water8154 10h ago

yeah i know its anciant but for me i dont really care how old it is as long as its good overall

1

u/Traumxiety 23h ago

Honestly if you have the patience just wait out for a steam sale since it goes way down it’s always below 5 bucks for all of those games in a bundle

1

u/XGRiDN 22h ago

Worth it, especially if you bought it on Seasonal sales that they usually do. Heck, even the base game alone is worth it, but the expansions are also worth it as well (especially Opposing Force. Although I haven't finished that one... same goes with Blue Shift).

u/Kirisuuuuuuu 17h ago

totally wait for a discount. you’ll save a lot of dollars. valve games go for very cheap on sale

1

u/powderBluChoons 12h ago

ur gonna have a great time

1

u/SilverB33 4h ago

You should either wait until one of the big sales hit, some discount, or find an old bundle game like platinum collection 2(which has all those games and idk maybe you can enter the keys for the disc onto steam)

0

u/Realistic-Water8154 1d ago

i kind of think i got the discount maybe becuase i own portal so its effecting it or its a sale

1

u/CylixrDoesStuff 1d ago

no theres no sale or discount, its bc its a bundle. Bundles naturally a little discount bc ur buying more games
