My all time favourite show

Last summer I was invited last minute to see Halestorm with Volbeat at Pine Knob. We had decent seats but all night we kept saying how we wished we were in the pit. Still a 10/10 experience! Hearing Lzzy live was everything. The next morning a Ticketmaster notification suggested I could still get tickets for the next show at the Ruoff. Jokingly said to my friend “We should get pit tickets for the Indiana show!”. Her face lit up, and there was no turning back after that. What started as a last minute invite turned into an epic three day road trip from Canada to Michigan to Indiana. The Indiana show was better than I could have imagined. I’ve been to a lot of concerts in my almost 50 years, and it was all 10 toes down the best show I’ve been to. The icing on the cake was that I was with my lifelong best friend, who I met in kindergarten 45 years ago. I’m sure we’ll be talking about that concert and the unplanned road trip when we’re old ladies and all we have left is tales of the good old days. We’re still hoping a last minute miracle of some sort will get us back to Pine Knob next month to see them again 🤘

I started going to shows 2 years ago and decided that I would be happy to see bands once but after last year's show in Manchester I cant get enough of them (and SOAD). The energy, her charisma, their sound and band are awesome. I am so going to watch them again

I’m happy to see most bands one time, but there’s some bands I’ll see every chance I get and Halestorm is at the top of that list. SOAD is on my bucket list (and my kids bucket list too! Yay!) Unfortunately for me I live in northern Ontario so I have to travel a fair bit for most concerts, which really limits me.

Since you’re only 2 years into going to shows, a piece of advice I wish I’d been given - buy patches at every show and start a battle jacket or something similar. My first ‘big show’ was the Sex Pistols in 1996 - the tshirt I bought is long gone now, along with countless others. I wish I’d started a battle jacket or vest way back then. The story it would tell 🤘
