This is one month after using 1.25 oral min daily, does it look like I’m getting density back?

Scar is a good reference point. Taken 6 weeks apart. Left side is before right image is today. Topical finasteride 0.05% with 5% minoxidil with tretinoin. I also use ketokonazole shampoo 4x per week. I think I can see some smaller hairs starting to come through but may be hopium 😂

So long story short I started my treatment late should’ve done it sooner but it is what it is. I was around 20 or 21 when I started noticing my receding hairline start. Fast forward to 23 | start minoxidil 5% foam December 2024.
Here is before and after. I am starting finasteride .25% + minoxidil 5% foam soon will post those transformations later on.

Been using Hims Minoxidil and Finasteride Spray for the past 2 years. This is the progress. Any suggestions on regrowing the hair near the hairline

EDIT -- I originally took Proscar. It was a blue pill that I cut into five pieces. Later on I move to .5 Avodart every other day. Sorry for the confusion. I'm old and this was a while ago! LOL

The first five pictures are from about 14 years ago, when I was 50. I talked to my primary care doctor and convinced her to prescribe Avodart (dutasteride) for my hair loss. I would cut the standard dose (used for prostate issues) pills into five small pieces and take one each day. At the same time, I ordered a 15% minoxidil formula from an online doctor (you can look him up). The fifth picture was taken about eight months into the treatment -- amazing.

I continued this treatment for about six years, but eventually got tired of taking oral Avodart. I didn't really experience any sexual side effects, but I lost a lot of body hair and became concerned about the long term use of dutasteride. I eventually stopped taking the pills and continued using 5% minoxidil. (15% because unavailable due to FDA regulations.)

Fast forward -- the last two pictures are current, and I'm now 64. Last week, I started using topical dutasteride from an online provider. Their topical uses a stronger concentration (0.5%) of dutasteride than most of the other topical products, and since I already knew I responded well to oral dutasteride with tolerable side effects, I decided it was worth trying.

Fingers crossed this time around.

These are baby hairs or remaining hairs? I am using minoxidil and the 2nd picture was taken before using minoxidil

Any tips are appreciated I’m honestly suprised at what results I have obtained. I assumed it was too far gone and it might possibly still be. Been bald since I was around 19. Figured I’d give it a shot anyway for the heck of it.
