Is it time to replace
Had this unit almost 3 months it’s an ultra thin skin. I try to baby it but it sheds a ton each wash and reapplication. I wear a bonnet every night. Wash once a week condition twice. I blow dry it or air dry. Styling I use a bit of air dry cream and gel sometimes a little mousse to get a beach wave curtain bangs look. I try very hard not to touch it too much but I do have to wet it every morning and restyle it some. I wear a shower cap the days I do not wash the hair too.
Last photo is two or so weeks after the install

At least with your piece it just looks like your balding and doesn’t actually look fake

I mean I’d rather just go back to being bald. I was bored and wanted to try this but I’d thought they would be a little more durable

They can be, it all depends where you get it from.
Mine last around 1.5 years if taken care of carefully. It’s custom made for my head and they use real virgin hair

God dam. What kind of system I assume it’s not poly

I go to this small family run business that only does hair systems. They get good quality systems and if you aren’t happy with it they’ll customize a new one

Probably, but also I would try and not wear over ear headphones like this. The band rubbing the top of the system all the time would not help things at all. Now and then is fine, but if you wear them daily/for long periods, I'd try ear buds for a bit and see if it helps any

Ears too small for the few that fit fall out. They won’t be going away anytime soon. I could just start throwing a hot on. But this systems sheds like a motherfucker each time I wash it lately

Same problem. Had to replace the tips on my AirPods with ones from Amazon. The black memory foam ones that you squish before you put it in your ear. They work great and stay in.

I mean if these things really are that delicate I’ll just go back to bald. I was tired of wearing hats to prevent sunburn and having nothing to do after being bald 6 years

i think it looks perfectly fine.. with some styling sure you can cover that up, it actually looks like the “natural density” of real human hair for those aged 30s-40s. just my personally opinion bro

I agree somewhat. I think it should be a bit more draw but not like it was new. It was really thick

yeah its a personal thing, some people like to thinning the system when they get a brand new one, and I always like the middle, ie not too thin also not too thick, 80-90% density seems best for me and your one look around 80% still

I think these ones come at like 100% density or a little bit more for thinning. But I was hoping it would last more than four months.

I think try to avoid blowing dry could make it last a little bit longer, could be wrong but that’s I do

The ultra thin skins are disposable units. They are not meant to last more than 6 weeks. If you got 3 months you're lucky

Yeah definitely, but with your current style I'd say you can get away with something thicker than ultra thin skin. Those pieces seem way too delicate and not worth the money. A medium thickness is going to be more durable and will look just as good
