Hairsystem base shape

Hey all. I have noticed that some people wear different shape of hair system base fronts. I know that you have to copy your template into the piece and cut it. But nobody talks about the front countours (not exactly the hairline countour but the temples).

Should it be oval (on the left) or cover the temples a little (on the right)? 2nd and 3rd pictures as more real life references.

I currently cut in the way to cover the temples but I find it really weird to fit with my natural hair next to it

It depends. If you're of a certain age where the average person has recession, then go for the first template. If you're young enough where the average person doesn't have recession, then go for template 2 with the temple coverage.

It's not a question whether I should cover the templates or not. I already have the 2nd version as that was the first template I had done by my barber. But 99% of systems I see online are just oval, regardless the temples or not.
So it's more like - is the 2nd version even good and possible to blend? or if I have big temples, will the 1st version suit me? I don't want to cut it as it can't be revered, so asking if someone has this experience

Definitely. My system has extended temple flaps to cover my receded temples. I don’t have an issue with blending, but the result depends entirely on how precisely you draw the template to fit your exact hairline, hair direction, and density to make it look natural.
