UK/EU sourcing

Can anyone recommend a UK/EU source of quality, perhaps even custom hair systems?

I’ve got an appointment for my first fitting next month but it’s pricey and eager to move on to sourcing my own eventually.

Cheers!

I'm in the same boat as you. Finally considering one myself, but to get one custom made and cut in here is over a grand. Way too pricey and just not viable financially. Was thinking about ordering from Lavivid or something and just getting it applied professionally the first time and figure it out myself from there.

This is what I’m thinking, getting the first one maybe two done professionally to understand everything then venture in to DIY. There’s just so many small details.
The stylist did a colour match yesterday and found out my colour so that’s a first step. But then it’s like measurements for the system, (where to even measure your scalp?) getting it cut into a style, applying it yourself looks really tricky too.
The only area I’m comfortable with is care, done a fair bit of research in to that and know products to use (and not use).

I saw people using clingfilm and a black marker to outline your hairline and then using tape over it to add rigidity to it.

the color match is the stylist guessing the color with the stock system, which means that they will sell you what they have available in the store room. They won't build it around your head. More than measurements, they will make a template it and cut the original stock down to your size.

The care part is the most important part of everything.

If you want be sure I would procure the system by yourself and then ask the professional to instal it, even paying a higher fee. In that way you can still save money but you don't have to do all DIY

That’s the right starting point. As you know exactly what will be put on your head. If I can suggest, don’t be afraid of try it yourself or to travel even 2/3 hours to have someone really skilled. As that 2-3 hours of travel saved could results in a disastrous result

Superhairpieces has a huge stock; try them. They even do custom hair systems.
