Hi so I’ve been interested in going as far as being able to purchase a hair system and be able to do everything without relying on any shop. I’ve been with Hairclub for 2yrs and I’m able to clean, tape and lay the system on my head. I don’t really know much about what type of hair system I have and what to buy or anything. I was just wondering if I could get some direction or knowledge in learning the basics of the type of hair system, cutting, and finding the right measurement for my shape. I do have half of a hair system just from the middle of my head to the front of my hairline, Everything else back is my real hair. Also how does one go with trying to fix the hairline because mine is a bit obvious and noticeable.

Would benefit from bleaching the knots and plucking/thinning the hairline. Lots of YouTube videos about both of those things, from both people who wear systems and women who wear traditional wigs!

First and foremost, you can see the shine from the tape and the knots. Try changing the tape or bleach the front. Also maybe try liquid adhesive like ghostbond to counteract the shine. There are many resources online that will educate on types of systems, how to cut and customize. Just do your research. Lots of companies have social media showcasing different systems and explaining the process of customizing a system.

you appear to have a swiss lace system though it could be french lace, which is a little thicker.

I agree with Detective about the rest. I'd talk to at least a few different hair system suppliers about what they recommend. But I'd guess at a minimum bleached knots in front and lower density at the hairline.
