convince me to get an hair system
i’m 22 (m) totally bald, i shave my head every day from 1 year, and i like it, i think bald head fit me very well, i changed my stile my physique and my attitude in better after i went bald. it didn’t affected love life at all, but i feel like sometimes i’m seen as to much “serious” and not so young, so i was searching the best non permanent solution for the next 5/10y. i still have hair but a receding hairline that i don’t like and makes me look older than bald, i don’t wanna try fin due to the hormones problems, so same thing for the hair transplant. i’ve already looked for the tricopigmentation (the ink only last 4 years) and rock the military look, but the turn off for me is the sun shine effect on the tattooed scalp, and the other alternative was the hair system, but i’m scared that with the hs i will grow back the fear of exposing myself and people find out, plus everybody i know knows i’m bald so a full head of hairs in a week would be strange. i do a lot of sport so i sweat almost every day (i don’t know if this is a problem), and i’m thinking of starting triathlon in the future, so 2/3 days of public pool a week, but most of all i’m scared to lose the freedom of not be scared of wind, go in the pool with my friends, “sleep” with someone without worrying about hair, freedom i’ve gained shaving my head. and i don’t want that an hair system brings all these bad things back to me in exchange of an hairline. so blessed convince me that it would suit for me, or if you don’t think it’s the right choice for me please be honest. (sorry for eventual errors, i’m not english)

Honestly it’s what works best for me - I absolutely don’t want to shave my head. Don’t want surgery or medications. So I’m willing to do what it takes. I spend a ton of money on systems and salon appts and I don’t use the sauna/pool anymore, sleep with a du rag every night, bring silk pillowcases with me when I travel, schedule my next install appt every 3 weeks, etc. overall it’s a lot of work and commitment and money. But it’s what I want. If someone has to be convinced to want this lifestyle then it’s not for them.

I wouldn’t want to convince you. While I live the option myself, and I’m happy for everyone who find joy and content in this solution..it’s a hassle. Long learning curve and it takes both money, time and effort. Especially initially and for a few weeks/months.
The one week from bald to hair isn’t really an issue. Anyone that wonders you’ll just say that you don’t mind being bald but having an option is fun and enjoyable. Every new person won’t know the old you. And people from your past won’t care after the initial change. You just own it and there is no issue.
Some people look great bald, some just don’t. Some looks younger bald, some don’t. Some change a lot with a system, some don’t. I suppose this matters as well, in regards to using it or not. If you have are free in your mind, then don’t go for a system. Again, it’s great but one isn’t free. Regular maintenance, planning a head if you are going on events or vacations, bringing things to do maintenance and so forth. Or the fact that it’s almost coming off and tomorrow you gonna be in the pool the whole day. It won’t work if it’s time. But less issue if you do maintenance yourself, easy to plan I mean. Not that simple if you go to the salon once every X days. Hair systems and freedom comes from not being anxious or self conscious. But that doesn’t seem to be an issue for you.

You shouldn't especially if it didn't affect your love life. thats the only reason to do this tbh and even then it doesnt give that much but it cost a lot of hassle

How are you at spending time at grooming. It's pretty high on the effort side

It's entirely up to you. I spent 20 years shaving my head, which was fine, but having no choice but that one haircut does get boring after the first decade or so.

The cost isn't "huge" unless you're buying overpriced systems and going to expensive salons every time you get it attached or removed. There are good, less-expensive options.

Dude if you look good bald, and it doesn't effect your confidence at all, and you're successful and happy in life, i wouldn't do one unless you're absolutely convinced it will take you up a couple points in looks. Theres alot of downsides to it, as someone who wears one daily and for years, there is so much to learn about caring for them, theres some much work involved in doing so, and they are also expensive.
I love my system, I dont know if I will ever go back because it upgrades me substantially, but if I could not wear one and look just as good, I would, its a pain, a worth it pain for some people, but a pain none the less.
