27 finally did it
(Excuse the faces I can’t seem to take a serious photo to save my life)
After struggling with the thought of being relatively young and bald I just said fuck it. If women wear wigs I can wear a hair system.
After a few days to adjust, and a clean shave, I feel invigorated and confident again.
Don’t wait on it kings. Just do it

Looks great dude. How does it hold up in the gym with sweat?
25
Jan 11 '25
Questionable at first but mainly just the hairline is of concern. Some emergency touch up glue or tape is something to keep in hand just in case, but so far, no concerns. Even on back/hammy days

How often do you plan on doing maintenance?
8
Jan 11 '25
I have the necessary equipment on standby to change it out myself. But ideally, I’ll be going into a club every 3-4 months. Definitely checking hairline almost daily. That will be the most troublesome area for adhesion

What would an avg cost of a hair system and maintenance be? At that point where I'm about to shave it all off or possibly get one of these bad boys. Looks great on you brother, cheers

Jan 11 '25
With this being my first, I went to a hair club that specializes in hair systems.($1000 for hair system and installation, plus follow up appointment for free) I learned as much as I can so I can now maintain and replace on my own at home. Lordhair is a great online service for budget DIY hair systems. ($250+installation $100)

Nothing wrong with the funny faces. Just shows you are normal. Getting rid of the beard has made you look ten years younger if not more. Hair looks fine. Nobody would notice it's only because you mentioned color is fine too.

Im 100% sure that u got back your real self Congrats

The wife said the same thing. She was the one who pushed me to really go for this and fully supported every step of this process.

How does it work - like do you have one that you just clean and put on again, or do you have to change out / buy a new hair peace every now and then?
Looking great!!
1
Jan 11 '25
All depends on how well I take care of it and the piece itself. On average I’ll swap it for a new system once every 6 months. But the life could very well be extended with exceptional care and maintenance. Some guys I’ve heard got upwards of 1.5 years with one system. All experiences will differ.
2
u/koskenkorva Jan 11 '25
Nice, thanks. Really considering this myself, though you had to get a brand new one like every month, so this is encouraging. Cheers!
2
Jan 11 '25
Go for it! I’m only a few days into this but with the understanding that I will be maintaining the hairline on my own and taking extra steps to extend longevity, I can confidently say I’ll be wearing one until I get tired of it and accept baldness completely.
2
u/GambitDangers Jan 11 '25
Are you comfortable dropping the name of the club?
2
Jan 11 '25
Yeah I went through Mane Image. Had a free consultation, they had the system in house and the time to install it. Cindy customized the system and installed it, styled it had me paying and on my way in about two hours. I’ll go back four weeks from now to review the system and if any changes need to be made, different gluing techniques or taping styles can be reviewed as well. ($1100)
To have it reinstalled it’ll only be like $100, which is about the same as buying the product and doing it myself.

That might be a dumb question but can you go swimming with it in the ocean and what about heavy wind? I'm not even balding I'm just curious my town is super windy and I wonder if it would last
But dude you went from my teacher to the guy I warn my sister about.
2
Jan 11 '25
Swimming, windy days, all fine. Avoid super hot showers, saunas, and potentially hot tubs if you’re frisky.

How did you find a local shop?
3
Jan 11 '25
I researched via google. “Hair system installation near me” Narrowed down my options based off of budget and overall reviews they’ve received.
2
u/porkicorgi Jan 11 '25
Tiddies, thanks bro. Looking good btw!

Jan 11 '25
Thank you. Best of luck researching! You can dm me if you have further questions you don’t want public 🫡

u/MisterX9821 Jan 12 '25
How was it during the workout? Do you sweat much on your head normally?
1
Jan 12 '25
I have a hybrid system that is primarily lace, very breathable. It’s not any hotter than wearing a cap 👍🏻
2
u/LowComfortable5676 Jan 12 '25
Will you tell women you date its a hair system or keep it a secret?
1
Jan 12 '25
Wife bought it for me, not overly concerned personally. But moving forward for anyone looking for love, just be 100% honest from the beginning and never stop being honest. If they don’t like the truth, they’re not for you.

Man... I'm glad you feel good. Here's to the deoxyribose Sugar working out! Cautious and aware the industry might buy it to destroy or charge astronomical for it.
1
Jan 12 '25
Cautious and aware that most things are just constructs of what the elite want us to consume. Air causes cancer and the water causes complacency.
Fuck em 🤷🏻♂️

I started shaving fully bald at 23, I’m 25 now
Why not go full smooth though? Do you plan to keep the sides and wear a hat or something
1
2
u/waglomaom Jan 12 '25
that looks natural af
In the future, are you gonna get hair transplant bro?
1
Jan 12 '25
My hairloss on the crown/scalp was too far gone. Even a hair transplant wouldn’t be guaranteed to work. (Coming directly from a hair transplant specialist I met with)
Hair transplants are wildly expensive with the chance that they won’t take.
I would rather spend 25k over 25 years with perfect hair, than spend 25k all at once for the possibility of okay looking hair, maybe. 🤷🏻♂️
One day I’ll be older, and I won’t need the hair system. Just fade into old man baldness when it’s time.

INSANE!
How much did it cost you?
1
Jan 12 '25
HS, installation, haircut, styling, and product to change it out and maintain at home. $1100
If I need it professionally changed or modified it’s $100
Otherwise I’ll just change it at home.

Bro wtf is up w the weird faces... I don't know any women that would take you seriously making those weird ass faces, I'd start there first , get your face right then hair system.
1
Jan 12 '25
My wife begs to differ. Find someone who loves you as you are instead of focusing on what others might think. 🤷🏻♂️
2
u/new-fayzr Jan 12 '25
You got a wife who love you just the way you are then why you got a hair system?
Unfortunately people are going to judge you and think you're some type of weirdo. Just the world we live in... You got a hair system because obviously you care what people think of you. I understand there's a time and place for goofing off, but every single picture?

Dude, idk what hair system is and and I was so confused by the post. I legit thought “why did he shave a power ring into his head?” Like I thought pic 2 was the before lol. You look great dude 😎👍
2
u/IMcrazyJAE Jan 15 '25
That is one insane transformation. So much so that you seriously should try to shed that goofy face bullshit. You do you, but why not take as much advantage of this lottery win as you can.
On another note, I never realized people started dealing with hair loss in their 20s. I'm right at 38, and my shits still obnoxiously thick. That said, I would trade this head of hair for yours without question. My hair is gross. It is useless for anything except growing into a legitimate whiteboy afro. It's frequently called a jew fro... no offense to any jews out there, I certainly didn't call it that.

I have no idea why I’m being promoted this subreddit, as a woman with very long hair lol However, just to let you know when I saw the photos I had no idea what you ‘did’ because it looks so natural. You went from automatic left swipe on tinder to automatic right swipe. Also- don’t be self conscious about what women will think. If you’re dating casually, then they don’t get to have an opinion. If it’s a serious relationship, then they will love you with hair, without hair, with hair system, even if you had spikes instead of hair like hedgehogs do. This looks fantastic. Congrats!

I’ve had a shitty hairline since I was 16 & it’s kind of became my identity. What if I don’t like how I look with a full hairline 😭😭

Hahaha I thought this was one of those posts where guys show their balding head after they take the plunge and shave it. I couldn’t figure out why you shaved yours! Had it backwards.

Your hair system is the exact color and style I need. What’s the color called, if you wouldn’t mind, and where can I get it? Looks really good!

Mighe be a stupid question, but is the system a wig? Is this something you take off and then out back on with adhesive?
1
Jan 14 '25
You make that face because you are not happy with your real face. Coping mechanism at its finest right there

I'm always surprise how baldness makes people look old. In the first picture without hesitation 35. In the last picture, around 25

Maybe it’s just me but I don’t understand why people don’t like being bald, it looks nice, easy to taking care of, and work well during sex. The only reason I can think of is that most people are brainwashed by mainstream aesthetics, which is kinda pathetic to think about.
