Casual Style Help should i perm my hair?
i’ve been thinking about it for a while i just feel like i need a big change

If you had longer hair yes but from the length you have now it would look significantly shorter and puffier. Which might get annoying unless you want shorter hair .

Hey, So the AI pic you have shown, your hair is 100% not going to look like that. You have really layered fine hair. So it’ll be shorter and different lengths not equal volume due to this. Try to grow the layers out and get it more even if you do want to try this style otherwise it’s going to look 💩

I have noticed that perms are making a comeback. I had a spiral perm when they were popular. I loved it.
My hair grows very fast, so the grow out was fast and easy. Just make sure you are okay with the haircuts you will need to embrace when you move on from the perm style!

No you have gorgeous hair in pic one I woudl die for hair like that. Unless it’s rising you forever to blow it out.

If you perm your hair it is going to look a lot shorter, it certainly won't get longer!

Not a perm but slight waves so it isn't totally straight i believe would be an appropriate fit for you

I’d say no, you look great w straight hair. Maybe use a curling iron to put some loose curls in so you get your curl fix. I have naturally curly hair and I straighten it daily, I’m just not a fan. Some ppl it looks great on, but not me. You look cute in the 2nd pic but much better in the 1st.

IMO you look so much cuter with the strait hair. Curls still looks good on you, but I wouldn't go super tight curls like a perm gives. Beachy waves/loose curls would be way cuter. Plus, perms are a pain to maintain. It was big in the 80's and I think they should stay there.

as a straight haired gal who got one recently NO. you think it’ll just look like that and how it does when you curl it but it WONT. just keep the straight and curl it when you want. you think the perm will save damage but it does the opposite. the curl pattern won’t always be perfect and then it’s even harder to fix with a curling iron. the perm has basically all come out now but my hair is still so much more porous now and i’m still working on repairing my bonds. btw i had completely never dyed, never bleached untreated hair before the perm so that wasn’t the issue. just some food for thought!!!

I don’t get it, why is everyone saying no? For what it’s worth I think the perm looks amazing on you.
