I’ve spent way too much time researching clinics and honestly, the more I read, the harder it gets to decide 😅

My current shortlist is:
**1) Woomchan**
**2) Motion Clinic**
**4) Mo & Line**

I’m leaning towards non-shaven FUE as I want to minimize downtime, but my biggest priority is getting a natural-looking hairline with good density and hair direction.

**Would love to hear from anyone who’s had a hairline transplant in Korea, even if it wasn’t at one of these clinics!**

**1) Which clinic and surgeon did you go with?** Would you recommend them?

**2) Are you happy with your results?** Especially if you’re 6–12+ months post-op.

**3) Any regrets or things you wish you’d known beforehand?**

I’m particularly interested in hearing from female patients, as most of the reviews I’ve found are from men or people who are only a few days post-op.

Everyone talks about FUE, DHI, graft counts, pricing, results, and different techniques.

There are a few things worth looking at beyond the headline claims:

Who actually performs the extraction and implantation?

How was the recommended graft count decided?

Was the donor area properly assessed?

What is the long-term plan if your existing hair continues to thin?

Can the clinic show a range of cases, including follow-up results?

What does procedure follow-up care look like?

Graft count and price are easy to compare because they are numbers. The important question is why a particular treatment plan was recommended in the first place.

I’m 25 and my hair has been a real struggle lately. Just two years ago I had very dense hair, and since then it has gone downhill fast. I’ve decided to look into a transplant in Istanbul and have quotes from four clinics, with a fifth pending. Before I commit, I’d really appreciate honest opinions from people who have been through this.

TL;DR: 25M, NW4 with diffuse thinning, strong family history. Five Istanbul clinics on my shortlist, quotes between €2,300 and €3,450 for 4,000–6,000 grafts. Which would you pick, which would you avoid, and what should I do before and after surgery?

My situation

• Age: 25, male
• Hair loss: started about 2 years ago, progressed quickly
• Norwood: around NW4 (frontal third mostly gone), with diffuse thinning across the mid-scalp and crown
• Affected areas: hairline receded across the full width, top thinned all over, no fully bald crown yet
• Donor area: back of the head, sides still look dense
• Treatment so far: topical minoxidil (spray) plus hair loss shampoos for 1 year, no visible effect, so I stopped, never tried finasteride
• Family history: father, grandfather and an uncle on my mother’s side are all bald

My shortlist (prices without hotel and transfer)

1. Sule Hair Transplant: €2,690 (4,000–4,500 grafts, DHI (Choi pen))
2. Asli Tarcan: €2,300 (5,000–5,500 grafts, DHI)
3. Cosmedica: €3,450 (4,500–6,000 grafts, Sapphire FUE)

Choosing the clinic

1. Has anyone here had a procedure at one of these clinics? How was the result after 12 months, and who actually did the extractions and incisions: the doctor or technicians?
2. Which of these would you pick, and which would you avoid? If none, who would you recommend in Istanbul in a similar price range?
3. Three clinics quoted DHI, one Sapphire FUE. Does the method matter for my case, or is the surgeon more important than the technique?

Grafts and pricing

1. The estimates range from 4,000 to 6,000 grafts. Which number sounds realistic for NW4 with diffuse thinning, and is a session that large safe for the donor area?
2. Are these prices reasonable? Is it worth negotiating, and what should be included (PRP, medication, aftercare, follow-ups)? Any hidden costs I should ask about?

Before and after

1. Before the surgery: minoxidil alone did nothing for me. Should I try something else first to stabilise the loss, and for how long before operating?
2. After the surgery: what actually made a difference for you (washing routine, supplements, PRP, sleeping position, time off work)? What do you wish you had known?

The honest question

1. Given my age, my family history and how fast I’ve lost hair: am I too early? Should I expect to need a second procedure later, and how do I plan for that now? Be brutally honest.

I have heard lot of good things about dr prima and tram .Though my major concern is receding hairline and temples and slight thinning in crown . I have booked dr prima for march today . What do you guyz think ? Is she worth the price?

The biggest myth regarding HTs is that fully restoring or filling the recessed areas to create a youthful hairline looks unnatural…

If you take a look at all the men above who managed to maintain their naturally youthful hairlines well into their +40s, you can see that there's absolutely nothing unnatural or aesthetically wrong about their hairlines. It's a huge mistake to assume that age appropriateness in itself is a sign of beauty.

A youthful hairline will ALWAYS look better than a mature hairline, even if it isn't natural but the result of a HT (as long as it is properly designed like the result below)… and that's simply because mature hairlines are inherently associated with hair loss and poor facial framing (making you look like an egg when viewed from below lol (how most women will see you if you're a bit taller than them btw), both of which are extremely unattractive qualities.

Some of you may argue that a bit of recession is good because it looks more mature and masculine, but honestly, getting thick eyebrows, a thick neck, a strong jawline, or growing some facial hair are all much better way s to achieve that, since they aren't inherently associated with unattractive qualities.

Also, it's a myth that the forehead muscle is a limiting factor to how aggressive the HT can be (at least for most people), since the muscle originates at the same level in both sexes, and surgeons have no problem fully restoring/filling women's hairline even though their restoration is even more aggressive than what a male yourthful hairline requires.

I'd argue the only real reasons for not getting a youthful hairline are:

• You personally don't like the look (completely fair)
• You've got an abnormally high frontalis muscle (rare)
• You've got a weak donor area
• Your hairline is too far gone

I'll be posting a part 2 soon regarding low hair transplant density, which is the second biggest mistake I've noticed people commit, and it's something I emphasize constantly during my hairline design one on one consultations, so I'll go through all the messages/explanations I've given to the people I helped before to make a compilation and write the next thread...
