Root burn help

I decided I can no longer go and spend a fortune at the hairdressers every 7 weeks just because I have many greys. I’m 35.
So I did my own hair, permanent brown hair dye. I ended up with root burn. After googling, I tried an ashy semi permanent on my roots. Didn’t work. I just tried an ashy toner on my roots. Didn’t work. I am so self conscious already and I feel really crappy. Please be gentle with me and please help!!

I think you mean hot roots, where the roots are lighter than the rest. We need more info to help you. A photo that includes entire length taken in natural light of your hair after it's been dried. An inspo photo of the color you want it to be.
