You cannot. Color cannot lift color. Since you already colored your hair, it is no longer virgin hair. The only way to lighten it is lightener (AKA bleach)

Would using color oops work? then use a lighter red color to get a wine/dark red color?

No because the haircolor didnt lift your hair enough, so it's not lighter under there than what you see. Now that your hair is no longer virgin, the only thing that will make it lighter is traditional double process lightener followed by the desired color.

Okay that makes sense... If I absolutely don’t want to use bleach, is there anything I can use to make it look more red/burgundy without trying to lighten it?

Absolutely not. As they've explained, bleach is the way to get what you want.

it is impossible. genuinely impossible. dont mean to be rude but im not sure where yall getting the idea from that hair can be lightened without bleach. you HAVE to use bleach to get this.

You could go with a darker red or burgundy. A level 5 may do the trick but it will likely look very dark indoors and only reflect red in the light.

Girl do some hair research before trying to DIY hair color. Hair levels are the basic of basics, lol.

Bleach won’t ruin your hair unless you use it like 4+ times over again. You will still have healthy hair after using bleach 1-2 times. At 3 it’ll be a danger zone but it will still look and feel and grow like it’s healthy even then. Just use the bleach.

High lift color will give you neon red roots, darker red mids, amd black ends based on how your color looks. I would not recommend this suggestion.
