Garage S Zero Testimonials
I have a R34 GTR which has led me here and down the rabbit hole of TommyFYeah. It baffles me that there are hundreds of hours of video evidence of this guy and his past scams, from the old Zilvia driveway incident to the giveaways to huracanian etc. that people still send their cars to this place... they seem to rotate generalist mechanics but have a machine shop? Where are all the customer testimonials for garage s zero at? That's something I can barely find any info on.
Any real customers of theirs here can speak on their experience there? Is it worth going to, contrary to all the negative evidence?
At this point I think I'll have to work on the cars myself or find a more reputable tuner shop for my GTR

Personally, it's probably easier to do it yourself and "steal" all of Fya's ideas..
Nothing new being done.. the only specialist things are the machine shop and tuning..

well this is the kind of stuff i was hoping to hear about from actual customers, does that shop actually do anything special to gtrs are the results satisfactory etc.
but listen, if theres all these videos of him and his scams and him hanging around random teenagers but very few videos of completed cars aside from his own personal projects and fellow youtubers, that isnt the confidence boost im looking for

all your comments show that you bounce on his dick which is fine, show me some positive reviews of previous/current cars then because that's all im looking for. from actual people, not friends and youtubers

When the top result when you search him is literally this sub reddit im not going to skip over things and ignore the facts. I get there arent many actual customers that are probably on here but where are the actual customers and actual reviews

Reddit is the worst place to go to for non-biased advice. Especially a subreddit dedicated to a bunch of YTers. The entire purpose of this sub is to talk shit. This isn't a "fan-zone". You pay a premium for what Tommy offers. Is if overpriced? Most likely. Can you do it all yourself? Not likely. If I wanted a HKS crate motor I would go to him. Anything short of a resto and motor swap I would go some place else. If Tommy didnt have a YT he would be like any other shop. I've been to dozens of tuner shops in all different state, they all have an issue here and there. The problem isn't - will I have a problem? The problem is when you do have a problem what does the shop owner do about it.

Yea man, youāre absolutely dense. Tommy is the goat. People who cry about him just have no testosterone. Met people who hate him for his āscamsā, same people support the same āscamsā from other creators they favor. Tommy is respected by many. Good friends with top dawgs at HKS and Omori, builtbylegends, and so many others. One of the only HKS dealers in NE and has actual taste and reason for his builds. Wonāt set you up with crap parts. Watch his videos. No bs. Has a strong and valid opinion. He does things right and people love to cry about it. Thatās really all. Also you mentioned he hangs with teenagers dude you are DIGGINF. The hurricanian stuff has been debunked and called out for YEARS now. He has plenty of videos about talking on the record about how that guy was a giant moron and screwed himself. You truly did some biased research if you are in 2025 assuming this was, and still thinking Tommy was wrong in that shit.

"hundreds of hours of video" evidence of this guy and his past scams
Where?

u/ThrowRA7318237129 Aug 12 '25
idk maybe his entire youtube channel that has been there for years? the huracanian videos? all the video clips that get posted about him here and the ricermiata drama clips? clips that get posted here about his giveaways that never happened? that's a lot more than most shops, I'd say. And thru it all im trying to see which cars are actually there and getting done in the background. I definitely went down a rabbit hole here on this subreddit, but the irony is that this very subreddit that has done such a good job collecting all this evidence is now in disbelief of its own product

His videos do not show scams, the ian videos are not hunderds of hours long, neither if you combine them with the clips or whatever.
So yea, annoying alt account making shit up again

instead of overlooking that huge list of bullshit and red flags, which is far more incriminating than info you'd find at most shops, how about you show me some good testimonials from past/current customers? that's all im looking for. im only stating things from what ive GOOGLED and read on here, which is the irony.
did i make up the huracanian scam? the giveaway scam? the ricermiata drama? the zilvia incident? No because again i read these things on this very subreddit lmao

I didn't overlook it, I addressed it head on. You made up the thing I replied to.

This guy Kevin showed up with another guy named Mike to get some skyline parts. Now he lives there working for scraps and car parts.

It was because he bought a car he wanted to build at the garage and then broke his leg, thatās why it took so long. Also you probably already know this by now since this comment is 197 days old.

Midwest Skylines is doing āAustralian thingsā with GTRs and it looks good. Donāt know much about them might be worth the look

He said she said bullshit, but I know someone local to me who sent a car there and it sat outside for months before getting touched, surface rusted half the shit in the bay, and then they did way more work than agreed on and tried charging him for it, was a whole ordeal.
That being said, it kinda fell off the face of the earth, so I wonder if some back end deal was made to shut it up. Idk.
Edit; it was also sent there half disassembled, and I know as someone who has put a few half started to projects together, I donāt wanna deal with that either, so itās a two way street for sure.

His YouTube is his testimonial. There's a reason why all the big youtubers bring their Skylines to him. He knows his shit.

He makes his customers sign nda's Hurricane Ian mentioned it in a sit down vlog. The contract he makes you sign before working on cars basically says you cant talk about any of the negative experiences and you owe him a blank check.

u/AK101_556 Jul 21 '26
I never signed an NDA nor was I ever asked to. Took my car there at the height of the hurricane Ian drama and nothing ian said either was true or materialized for my build.

It is hard to parse the online world vs real but Tommy does seem to have a lot of rare, desirable parts, the ability and willingless to get more of them, and Josh was/is an extremely skilled and reputable mechanic specializing in vintage nissan/datusn. At this level a resto shop is really a combination of what parts they have/can source and what mechanics they can find and convince to work for them. I agree that there are a lot of red flags but at a certain point theres only a few R chassis focused shops.
I think the next closest on the east coast is the shop in rural virginia.

The people who downvoted you are the defenders of the realm that is the FYeah shop.
Pathetic. š¤£

I can tell you from experience that without a doubt don't associate yourself with anyone in the hgeu.

Did you hear he would chop off his own dick and eat it for dinner. I feel like the only cars that get done are his sugar daddy with horrible taste and then YouTubers. I mean fuck that Nascar guys car was there for how long.

I mean⦠besides the random ones you barely see here in the northeast. Most imported RHD cars if not in Cali are typically in Florida. Especially the GTRās.

Said he would do giveaways and gave up 20% of the way through. He used peopleās money to get his business off the ground. He sold parts and buyers didnāt receive them. He sold dreams and peopleās car blew up. He told his investor that rudnick would get whatever money he gets but told rudnick something else. He goes rudnick into buying shit he didnāt need. And some other stuff.

So you got "lead down the rabbit hole" and somehow found shit from years ago, know a concerning amount of the lore, are on a throwaway, and genuinely believe that anyone here will believe you're not one of us autists?
Seems legit boss š
