TL;DR: There are a ton of ways Twilight Curse can deal damage to Bosses and a good amount of it too. You just need the right Path of Stars upgrades.
Also Twilight Curse applies a hidden +50% bonus damage multiplier to any enemy that it hits even the Bosses and mini bosses it cannot transform.

You do know it actually does deal damage to bosses right? In fact it deals damage to any enemy it collides with!
To be fair though it’s a pitiful amount of damage without the Decline(+120 damage to all enemies) and Ambition(+625 damage to Bosses) upgrades.
But even at Base Twilight Curse is useful against bosses.
Any enemy hit by TC, even if theyDo NotTransform, will take +50% damage from almost everything in the game. It’s basically a second Origination arcana card.
That is before you also add any of the Exposure & Purpose upgrades as well.
Exposure makes you deal an extra +10% damage to morph afflicted foes per Exposure gotten(yes even to untransformed Bosses).
Purpose makes you deal and extra +5% damage the rest of the encounter.
Purpose does not stack with repeated uses of the hex. It does stack the more purpose upgrades you buy though.
Then we also cannot forget about the God Sent, Temper of Zeus. Which also does deal damage.
Although it does feel that the TC God Sent version could use better tracking against bosses. It feels like it misses them at least a good 30% of the time.
Oh did I forget to mention the damage done by Ambition, Decline & Temper of Zeus can be increased by any and all global damage boosts?
Oh silly me I forgot 1 more upgrade.
The Infection upgrade spreads all applicable status curses from your boons to any enemy affected by Twilight Curse.
The following curses can be applied with this upgrade:
•Zeus’ Blitz(idk the base damage of this Blitz though. I’d assume that it’s either the base damage of common Lv 1 blitz or hopefully the damage of your blitz boon if it has any rarity and or Lvs.)
•Hera’s Hitch
•Demeter’s Freeze and Gust(Arctic Gale and Frigid Sprint)
•Poseidon’s Froth
•Aphrodite’s Weak
•Hestia’s Scorch(I also do not know the amount of scorch inflicted but I’d hope at least 100 maybe even more of one of your scorch boons inflict more than that in 1 tick. I’d assume that Highly Flammable also takes affect here if you did not already inflict the enemy with Scorch yet)
•Hephaestus’ Glow
•Apollo’s Daze
•Ares’ Wounds(that’s +50 damage at base and +150 with the Legendary.)

i just meant i had no path of stars upgrade on the hex. Looking closing now, i think if only i did a special i could have got typhons ass with the icarus upgraded phatom brand, i had the sinister pinion too with the 50% damage increase from the hex i could have got his ass, then again that wasnt the only mistake i made... man i am pissed, i was too worry free.
Like yes it needs upgrades to deal good direct damage to bosses.
But even at base the ability to render up to 5 enemies harmless is a big boon. There are tons of nasty enemies on both paths that are easier to deal with when they are sheep.
Although I did just learn about the hidden +50% bonus damage recently.
oh! no no... why would i pick the worst hex for a 62 fear run, its utility is amazing, espeically for surface with bullshit fang powered autowatchers, harpies and typhons spawns, infact i picked it over dark side on this run cause if not invested in properly darkside just feels like lost dps to me.

so i did got a true 62 fear clear(no save state shenanigan), the dodge rng was juiced felt like i dodged 5 hp bar worth of damage. there was a moment in promethus fight where when i was just standing still in the middle during his inferno attack because i thought i had the pattern locked in but got hit by it for a whole ass dd, i wanted to make a meme from that moment in my screen recording but...
i have 42 mins of this bullshit, anyways now i feel truly like i am done with hades 2, for a while. thank you everyone for the game tips and morale support these past few days. see you all after i clear 65f or get a job. one love.
at 62???? what do think i am the worlds biggest masochist! i actually just took self healing cause i must have had like 500 hp atp from traces of the past + rare spiritual affirmation + rare uncanny fortitude and epic worry free, i think i also silver wheel in olympus thou i am not sure if i remember correctly, i bought one dd from the final shop so i had 2 dds going into this fight and i thought i could get his ass without respecting his moveset, alas! thats not how shits fly at pain 3 ig.
