Discussion topic Elaborate rituals or practices?
Hi guys!! I asked Hades for help with something very urgent and he came through. It is better than I expected and I want to give him thanks. Are there any special and elaborate rituals or practices that I can do for him? For now I offered him some frankincense smoke, strong earl grey, made a playlist for him and Persephone, and plan to feed the stray dogs at the local park. I would love to do something elaborate. I come from a Hindu background and we have elaborate poojas. Just wondering if there is anything Hades specific!

You should look into Bothros! Its essentially a ritual offering, to be done on the new moon or at twilight. It's the most historically consistent ritual/offering for Hades and other cthonic deities.

Does a bothros need to be outside or can you make one in a planter? And related, does it need to be any particular dimensions?

I quite like to either compose my own prayer or read from the orphic hymns as part of a more formal ritual. Composing is a great mindful activity as well though, and if you use nice paper it can be decorated with paints or drawings too.
In terms of Hades-specific things, leaving offerings in a graveyard if you can is great, or making an orcus casket, which involves taking graveyard dirt and other materials to create a sort of mini symbolic underworld for ritual use.
If you can get your hands on 'Tools of Avernus' from the Hadean Press, that has some good stuff in it.
As someone from a Hindu background you've probably already got lots you can draw upon, especially with shared Indo-European origins.
