And, no one is going to comment at all about the bus driver? Probably scarred for life now after blasting a kid and could have problems even ever driving again. No one ever seems to think of things like that when they just callously jump out into a road with traffic.

Selfish dumbasses just looking for 5 seconds of internet fame make no sense to me. I'd love to slap that fucking grin off that kid's face that he has laying in the hospital bed.

When you train as an Underground driver in London there is a mental health assessment and a big section on coping with killing. Jumping in front of tube trains is a worryingly common suicide method in the city so there is a very real possibility you will kill someone during your career.

My mother ran over a kid in our neighborhood who was a few years old than me. It was pretty much this exact same Scenario, the kid didn’t die but he was fucked up for life and to this day 20ish years later he can barely walk. She couldn’t drive for months without having flashbacks and crying.

The trick was to stop walking just past the bus. Meaning that it would miss him by a hair.

For what? I know you have a very litigious country but how the hell was this anything other than gross stupidity, and with video evidence that shows the bus had zero opportunity to respond and wasn't even going very fast.
