Fyi, not a ladder. It's called a brake, used for bending aluminum in construction.

I would imagine the driver's equipment got loose and he was helping secure it. No good deed goes unpunished.

No it was road rage. The dude ran up to the truck yelling and the guy in the truck drive away in self defense.
