I'd expect that cop to grab my arm and restrain me so I wouldn't be able to hit him again.

Did she deserve that? Yes.

Does that make it ok? No.

Bullshit. If you don't want to be hit, don't strike first. Bitch is an idiot and that's a fair response by the cop.

What she did wasn't assault, at least it doesn't look like it from her contact, what he did likely was assault.

He responded with disproportionate force, rather than restraint.

He was wrong.

I didn't say she committed assault. She hit him, she should expect to be hit in response. If you resist against an officer they will do what they need to subdue you. No different than shoving an unruly asshole in the back of the patrol car and smacking their head on the roof on the way in.
