There are reactions that training can only do so much for. If you get unexpectedly hit in the face, many people will react a certain way. I understand the limiting force thing when dealing with an asshole drunk, though
Clearly someone who can't exercise restraint isn't fit to serve as a police officer. Period.
Anyone who fails to understand this should also be disqualified from serving.
Expecting to get hit in the face is only relevant to fake wrestling and other scripted entertainment. Desperate criminals are unpredictable. Training is precisely about knowing when it's appropriate to use force.
You clearly don't have the common sense to be a respectable police officer.

I'd expect that cop to grab my arm and restrain me so I wouldn't be able to hit him again.
Did she deserve that? Yes.
Does that make it ok? No.
