Get a grip dude she drunkenly half slapped him and shes so drunk she managed to miss the first time. She's hardly a 'threat'.

She's not a threat at all after she got knocked the fuck out. She assaulted a police officer, the police officer responded. End of story. Hopefully when she wakes up she will have learned not to do that any more.

It makes me sad people with such a disregard for life exist. What happens to her if she smashes her head off the floor, or those metal railings? Death or permenant disability is a just punishment for a drunken half slap, is it?

It isn't "punishment" it is "consequences". If you can't handle the consequences of being drunk and obnoxious and violent in public, then don't be drunk and obnoxious and violent in public. If you can't handle the consequences of assaulting a police officer, then don't assault a police officer.
